We loved our visit to Manzanita

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have always stayed in Cannon Beach area but this summer decided upon a week long stay in Manzanita at Trasure Hideaway - and we loved it. The house has great views (all day long), a quick walk to the beach which was great and is dog friendly. The basement has EVERYTHING you need for kids for extra activities. We would stay at this property again in the future!!

Nice house close to beach

We had a wonderful time in the quaint community of Manzanita. Nice ocean views and a quick walk to the beach made for a lovely stay. Highly recommend.

A Perfect Spot for Staying Near the Beach

Restful, lovely stay at the Ocean

We had a lovely stay with our dogs at your home. The view from the living area and the deck was amazing. The location and neighborhood were wonderful. Great walks all around and then of course the beach. Our only comment is that the fencing in the yard isn't really secure for dogs, too many ways they can get out if they wanted to. But otherwise everything was Perfect! Will hope to stay there again.

We are so glad that you enjoyed this home in Manzanita. Although the house is fully fenced we do not recommend that pets be left alone at any of our properties as they tend to find ways to escape. We will make sure to secure it the best way we can. Sunset to Sunset Vacation Rentals would love to host you again soon!

A wonderful vacation home!

We loved this house and are already excited to return someday. Our group especially appreciated all the entertainment options: two arcade gaming systems, an XBox with guitar hero, ping pong, foosball, cornhole, and two movie watching areas (one upstairs, one downstairs).

End of year reset break

Just what we needed! The house was in the perfect location to relax and reset after a long, difficult year. We enjoyed the beach every day rain or shine. The property manager was very responsive and genuinely nice to work with. The kitchen had everything you would need. The game room was a great bonus. I recommend this property to anyone who loves the beach!

Nice location but needs a lot of improvements... too many ants!!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Finding the place was easy and check in was simple. The location was fairly close to the beach just a couple minute walk along side streets. it was a quiet and safe neighborhood and parking in the driveway was easy. The key storage was a bit finicky and we did have concerns about the security of the code but other than that getting in and out of the house was fine. The beach was beautiful with lots of open space and we appreciated the foosball table at the house. The view was gorgeous and we enjoyed the deck and barbecue. However, there were major issues with the house that made our vacation not as enjoyable as it could've been. There was a major ant infestation inside the kitchen, the bathroom, and downstairs. There was an open sugar box and a gel ant trap in the shower that was drawing them in along with kitchen crumbs. We spent a lot of time cleaning up ants, including dead ants in the windows so it seemed like this wasn't their first ant problem. We messaged the property manager about the ants and they were quick to respond, which we appreciated, and they brought out two additional ant gel traps for us to set around the house outside. However, there were so many ants that the traps didn't really make a difference, but we did appreciate their responsiveness. The basement and downstairs office smelled very musty from a wet bath mat that was left in the laundry. Additionally, there was hair on the bed sheets, towels, and in the kitchen cupboards. Lastly, the kitchen was a bit grimy and the utensils were not clean. Given these issues, it was difficult to relax and feel comfortable at the house. If these issues were fixed, and the house was cleaned up, we would consider recommending this property to a friend but as it currently stands, we would not recommend it and will choose another location during our next Manzanita visit.

Tim unfortunately at the beach we tend to have sugar ants come out after a summer rain in many of our homes here which happened the day before your arrival. However, we are sorry that we missed the open sugar box in the cupboard which exasperated the issue. The cleaners don't always catch when a past renter leaves items open in the cupboards. We discovered that the hairs you mentioned were actually from a rug that was washed with the sheets and towels as the house was turned from departing guest to incoming guests. They were not able to get the fibers off of the other linens in the time frame that we had to turn the house. We apologize that it made things feel unclean. This may also be the reason the rug didn't sufficiently dry in the laundry room in time for your arrival. We did our best to take care of the issues as soon as they were reported and offered to rewash and replace all linens for you as well as refunding your cleaning fee. We do understand your disappointment but hope you will give the home another chance as it was our rushed summer season cleaning errors not this beautiful homes actual everyday condition. We take responsibility for the clean not being up to par and will do our best to learn from this experience and make sure that it does not happen again.
