Cozy Cottage on 4 Acres

Crossville Cottage is a wooded retreat in Crossville, Tennessee.

Located on over 4 acres, this not-quite-tiny house is the perfect hideaway for adults to relax, or as a home base to explore the Cumberland plateau. Whether you are enjoying your coffee from the back deck, experiencing the highly anticipated Flatrock Motorclub, enjoying the Cumberland Playhouse, or adventuring out to the countless waterfalls around the plateau, you will return home rejuvenated after your stay in the cottage.

The Cottage
We designed Crossville Cottage with the desire to give you and your partner or friend a relaxing retreat. Including essential amenities, the cottage boasts a small kitchenette, outdoor grill, living room, bedroom and full bath. Plan for simple, low-stress meals in the kitchenette or visit one of our many local restaurants. You can watch streaming TV while lounging on the oversized Pottery Barn sofa or nap on the extremely comfortable queen-sized bed.

Located on a private lane alongside a 50-acre forest, wildlife abounds if you are willing to wait! Take your coffee onto the back deck and keep your eyes open! So far on the property we have seen bobcat, deer, foxes, skunk, possums, squirrels, turkeys and countless other birds making their way to the pond across the lane.

The Property
You have your own dedicated parking space with a lighted gravel path leading to the front porch. The cottage is located on property including a large pole barn that is currently used for storage and occasional small projects. Feel free to walk the path around the perimeter of the property, exploring the beautiful views.

The Area
Crossville is a hidden gem, with the best weather in the state, tons of outdoor adventures, golf, and easy access to Knoxville, Chattanooga and Nashville!

I have stayed here several times and as always this was a very pleasant home to stay in. Host is great to work with and the home is super clean and has everything I needed. Beautiful property to walk in and a fire pit has been added which is great for cold nights. I highly recommend.

House was just as pictured. Beautiful and very clean, close to everything, but in the middle of nowhere. Very comfortable, and did I mention clean. Great communication. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect, cozy cottage. Very clean and well kept inside and out. It was awesome to sit on deck enjoying my coffee, meditating and praying on this beautiful property and having a quiet welcoming place to return each night after fun filled days with my family. Host was responsive to my questions. It was awesome to briefly observe their beautiful lil family and their interactions. Returning to where i grew up, decades later was amazing. My family really enjoyed our time. Thank you Michael and family.

EVERYTHING was awesome about our little cottage !! I had found this little place because it was within right at an hour from brushy Mountain State penitentiary where I had purchased tickets to surprise my husband to go to Jamey Johnson‘s concert , and wanted somewhere to stay that wasn’t too far and we didn’t have to drive back home towards Nashville. We have two dogs and it was pet friendly. Michael was awesome. The place was spotless. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place! Will definitely rent from him again. I highly recommend this cottage and Michael for any rental need you have !!!

Perfect Retreat

Property was exactly as listed and shown no hidden details which was actually very nice compared to many places we’ve stayed before. It was a quaint farm town and the property was not too far away from restaurant, sites along with amenities. The property was clean, well decorated and very comfortable. We recommend this without reservation. I will also add many pet friendly properties smell or don’t accommodate well. This one did not smell, was well kept and had pet towels and blankets provided. They have a great set up!!

Great Stay

What a beautiful country location and great accommodations. Just had a pleasant stay here and it could not have been better. Very clean and well appointed and had all of the conveniences needed. A nice touch with flowers on the kitchen table and even some freshly laid eggs! THANK YOU!The furnishings were very nice, the bed was SO comfortable. Couch was good as well and would be a comfy place to sleep. Plenty of towels, even some for the dogs!The owners were pleasant and quick and easy to communicate with. Overall I was very happy here and have nothing but good things to say! Highly recommend it and I hope to stay there again!

Absolutely beautiful!

Cozy, comfy, peaceful, secure, our best stay to date with VRBO!! 10-stars!! Extremely clean, new everything! The light fixtures were so amazing, and the bulbs! (You will get it when you stay there) The owners were so welcoming and kind. They were available for anything we needed, however we prefer to be in our own little world and they let us do just that! My husband and I were saying we could actually live in this amazing place!We sat on the back porch and enjoyed the full moon. There is a welcome notebook that explains everything and more that you need to know!! We have family in Tennessee, so we are looking forward to our next stay there!! Thank you to the lovely family for making us feel so welcome. I enjoyed having my coffee in the morning on the deck, listening to the birds singing the chickens, it was an amazing experience to be one with nature like that! Also, I am used to traveling with my big box fan for when I am sleeping! Well that was a waste of space because they had the best small fan in the bedroom and we have ordered one for our bedroom because it was truly unbelievable!! WOOZOO fan!! Check it out, better yet, Stay in this beautiful home. They think of everything you would possibly need or want! Thank you for an awesome experience!! 10-stars!!
