Recently renovated single level home nestled among 5 acres of Live Oaks on Fish River. Open floor plan with Conversation Area next to well-appointed kitchen as well as a separate den with TV, game table/desk area and plenty of seating make this house very versatile for small groups. Bedroom #1 has en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. 2nd bathroom in main hallway has a tub shower. All beds are queen size with nightstand and lamp on each side. One step from den into main house and three steps from back door to ground level patio (which is also accessible from path outside). House sleeps 6. Pack n Play available. Back patio with gas grill, double car port and circular drive and plenty of parking. Trails throughout property with creek access for swimming and wading. Climb some huge Live Oaks tree, too! Located on a quiet country road yet quick and easy access to Baldwin County's many great attractions. Publix just 4 miles away, Walmart 7 miles.

Relaxing time

Very quaint and quite property. It had everything that we needed. Host was very accomodating and attentive. The river was an added plus!

We had a great stay at Nina's. She lives next door, and made sure we was comfortable and had everything we needed. We highly suggest staying here. House was clean, comfortable beds, lots of space, and a huge yard for the kids to run and play. 10/10 recommend. We are hoping to visit again some day. We loved the conversation table and used it for game nights. The kids didn't want to leave, and loved every second of this house.

Fantastic for Mardi Gras!

We really enjoyed our stay at Woodland River Retreat! The host was very communicative, welcoming, and friendly. There was a check in/check out book with great information and directions to the creek. It is a very beautiful property! The home was very clean and comfortable. 10/10 recommend!

Magnificent Woodland Retreat

We just spent the last month at the "Woodland Retreat" in Loxley Alabama. Cannot say enough good things about this beautifully remodeled country home or it's wonderful hosts! The house is a short walk from Fish River and is nestled amongst ancient majestic Live Oaks. Very few places we have rented over the last 30 years offer the beauty and the quiet serenity of this property. The hosts are ready to assist with any questions but, more importantly have the utmost respect for your privacy! Thank You Nina for the delicious Cranberry Bread!!

Get away with my daughters

We had a wonderful time. The house was absolutely amazing! It was so pretty inside & since it was raining during parts of our stay having the carport was a bi plus! The yard & wooded area made it seem secluded even though there were many houses in the neighborhood. The hosts were very quick to respond to any and all requests & communication. It was one of the best if not the best VRBO homes we have stayed in. Would highly recommend & would love to stay again in the future. Shopping and activities were fairly close with most being within 15 to 30 minutes away. My teens loved the walk to the river & the beach area.

Relaxing retreat

I was traveling with a family member who had limited mobility. We were so thankful for the carport! It provided a covered walkway to enter the home. There were small steps entering the laundry room and family room, then one larger step entering the kitchen. The owners have stocked the home with essentials, we had everything necessary to cook. The property was amazing. I could watch the trees all day.
