We are very surprised the reviews were so positive. This place is SHABBY. The kitchen rug is absolutely unsanitary and should be thrown away immediately. There was dried meat underneath the table centerpiece (showing it hadn't been moved when cleaning, and the chair upholstery is very stained.
The 'hall' bathroom was scaldingly hot - use only at risk of burns. The master shower won't switch to a tub, and while I wouldn't want to use the tub since everything was so dirty, it would have been nice to warm the water up before utilizing it as a shower. There was a pubic hair atop the bedside candle when we checked in.
There were surprisingly few amenities - no salt, pepper, or even dish soap; no hairdryer. Cups in the cabinet were unclean. Lingering paint supplies indicate the bathrooms were recently but poorly painted. The grout throughout is dirty. It needs a THOROUGH spring cleaning. A bedskirt is broken and hangs unmended. The window blinds on both doors are broken so that they swing wildly when balcony doors are opened. The balcony is fine, but a makeshift ashtray needs to be removed or improved (by adding sand) so that it doesn't just look like a dirty pot.
The pool is lackluster - a little paint in or around the pool would add appeal - or even on adjacent walls.
The decor is nice (pictures make it look better than it is), but it is clearly an attempt at putting lipstick on a pig.
We're also unimpressed with Young's SunCoast. They should be embarrassed by the cleaning job; they didn't return an email I sent upon booking; two agents said that since we couldn't check in early, we could change in the 'lobby' of the resort - but there is no lobby, so we sat in the heat by the pool, fully clothed. We requested an early check in, which I understand is not always grantable, but we had to call Young's twice AFTER the 4 PM check-in to get the code, and there was no evidence the condo had recently been cleaned, so I'm guessing they just didn't want to pursue an early check-in for us.
We have never left a negative review and certainly don't expect perfection in a condo. I could overlook just about any of these in isolation (besides the kitchen rug), but this place had too many issues, was simply unacceptable, and should be taken off the market until serious improvements are made.
