Wonderful experience at Spruce Peak Lodge. We traveled with our twin teenagers and the adjoining rooms worked out perfectly. The staff was incredible, ski valet was a nice surprise. The property is beautiful and we got unexpected snow fall making for great conditions so early in the season. Would recommend and would return for sure.

Great for family with teens

Two Rooms share a common vestibule and single door to the resort so we could prop the interior doors open and go between our rooms. Beds were nice. Pullout beds were squeaky so luckily we only one person in each one. Only complaint was it is above a road leading to the cute village and early morning we were awoken by the sounds (BEEP BEEP BEEP) of trucks backing up for about 15 minutes.

Great first time skiing experience

We stayed at Spruce Peak to be close to the action for our first family ski trip. It's a great location with tons to do. We stayed in connected rooms, the adults taking one room and our teen/tween girls sharing the other room. It was a great setup with space for everyone. A complimentary gift bag was provided which was thoughtful but it included an 8oz jar of maple syrup which meant we couldn't travel home with it on the plane (would have loved to see a smaller bottle that we could have brought home with us!) We all LOVED the fireplaces in each room. We live in Florida and fireplaces are a new experience so it felt really fun and luxurious to have one in each room. Plus it was very safe and user-friendly. My only complaint is related to the bathroom. In fact, at first I thought the bathrooms were actually missing showerheads! I looked and both showers looked exactly the same, like a pipe sticking out of the wall that just comes to an end with no showerhead. Very odd. I took a closer look and realized that there was a little cap on each pipe that technically functioned as a head but when you turn the water on it was an awful, messy spray that went everywhere, didn't provide much pressure and had a giant gap in the water in the middle. I mention this only because the rooms and the resort were SO NICE and the stay was expensive that I can't believe that the owners/management feel good about this being part of the bathroom/shower experience.

Excellent Overall

Great location, amenities and service all around. Stowe Vacation Properties was also extremely responsive and accommodating, even texting me late on a Saturday evening. Will be a repeat customer for sure.

Communication could have been better.

Communication could have been better. Never got a response when I called about the disparity with the fitness center pricing. Please make a better effort to return phone calls, and please update and fix the paperwork that you have provided the front desk to hand out. I will likely avoid a sub-leased rental and instead rent a room directly from the hotel in the future to avoid the unnecessary layer/barrier to communication and the disparities between actual hotel policies and the incorrect information presented by the 3rd party leasing company.

Amazing location, great facilities, and awesome people

You can't get a better location than the Lodge at Spruce Peak, you're close to everything the resort has to offer and minutes from your door to the lift. All of the Stowe staff are extremely helpful and professional, from the fast and efficient valet team, to the friendly front desk staff, to the helpful lift operators and guides available throughout the resort. In addition, the Stowe Resort Homes team was awesome throughout the entire process from booking our trip, to planning our arrival, supporting us during the stay, and helping us with check out. We actually had one incident where our friends' dog had a small accident on the bed (she got a little over excited) and we needed a new comforter/top sheet. Our room was not managed by the hotel, so we worked with Missy to get replacements. She personally drove to the Lodge at 7pm to bring us new linens and could not have been nicer about the whole process. Thank you Missy and team for making our stay so enjoyable, we can't wait to return.

Stowe getaway

Wanting an outdoor getaway from covid we chose Stowe for our destination. The arrival was less than ideal as VRBO did not let the resort know we had booked through this third party Once the checkin happened, we did enjoy our stay. The room was comfortable and not a far stay from the hot tub. The fact that they had a ski stow was great so we didn’t have to keep our skis in the room. We will come back here but would likely book directly through the resort as we had such difficulty checking in

Great hotel and resort! Perfect for two families traveling together.

We had an issue with the hotel not having our name on file for check in. It would have been nice to have had the owners 24 hour contact number on our email confirmation because we had a hard time getting the correct contact information. However, once we got in contact with the owner, our issue was resolved immediately.
