The snorkel area has nothing to look at. Two small fish in a half hour. The ladder back up is treacherous and requires a fair amount of strength to pull up. If you are young college students you are good. Not so much out of shape middle aged ladies with a low center of gravity.
Maids were lazy. The laundry basket is where you put clothes to be washed...twice in a week it was done and I left with damp clothes. You'd think wash clothes are automatic. No. You have to ask for them. Every day...and the maids aren't there all the time. Why should you need to ask?
It's in the info sent that you are expected to tip. My husband did, but grudgingly. They didn't even wipe the mirrors in a week's time. We are crazy neat...they weren't picking up after slobs and only have three cabins to look after. Bath at was filthy.
Note at the owner is too cheap to screen the living room. After a long day of events if you want to cook or watch the sunset or tv after your shower, these are your choices: hide in the screened bedroom, slather more stinky bug repellent ALL OVER YOUR BODY (yes, I put it on myself where not covered by clothes. I have over forty bug bites on my trunk.), or get bitten. And the sea grape cottage has a nasty old waterbed with foam and a dirty blanket, NOT the sofa shown on the other cottage picture!
Totally disappointing. If you are young college kids who don't know better, this is fine. But the lady I was talking to who stayed in the other cottage described it perfectly when she called it "rough." She and I agreed it would not be a place we'd recommend to friends.
This could be a great place with a little diligence. The kitchen is poorly stocked. The property is not well managed. Dogs barked and waked us up twice. The lady in the other cottage said she had to wear ear plugs to sleep.
If you are going to party, smoke weed, and don't care about much else, you will be satisfied. Otherwise, not so much.
