Our guests often compliment the cleanliness due to the great cleaning service we have. We do try to treat our guests as we would like to be treated so our guests enjoy their stay. We have been very fortunate over the years to have had guests who will fix minor problems that they might find. Their thoughtfulness is sincerely appreciated.

The subsequent review submitted by Barry was more informative and complimentary toward our home and we appreciate that review. We have much to brag about but let our guests do that for us. Most of our reviews are of the 5-star variety.

Thank you Rebecca for your kind words. I was very concerned about some of your comments and perhaps its a Mars & Venus thing. I have asked other guests about your thoughts and what could be done to improve it. One guest said she would never use spices found in a rental home as she wouldn't know if someone had tempered with them. All said that they bring their own shampoos and body wash as they want to use their own rather than some that might be left by the owner for guests to use. I know my wife never uses those items in hotels that we have stayed in for the same reason. For myself, I will use the shampoos and body wash found in hotels as it is not a big deal to me...and I am a man. I have been asked about having a hair dryer for guests to use. I ran that by the insurance agency that carries our insurance and they said do not do it as a guest might drop a hair dryer in the tub and be electrocuted. That would be on me as the supplier of the hair dryer. I know there are a lot of owners who supply many things that we would never do for the liability reason. Unfortunately, there are many who never accept responsibility for their actions and look to sue people instead and we all pay for that. Thanks again.

My thanks to Cindy for her kind words. I agree that a railing would be a good thing to add to the front porch. It will be done in time for next year’s season along with still other improvements.

Thank you, Suzanne. Suzanne is correct about the problematic situations. The remainder of the carpet will be replaced with a hard surface flooring after this season as it has been an issue for a while. A single-color, light carpet should never have been in a rental unit that serves groups spending time at the beaches. It is what we inherited throughout the home. The carpet in the remainder of the house was previously replaced. While the kitchen is new this year and we have some very kind words on it, we will be putting in new bathrooms along with the carpet replacement after the season is over. The pandemic did cause additional headaches as we could no longer provide amenities that were always there in the past. We hope to return to more normal times next year.

We thank Chris and Ben for their kind words. They, along with their two children, were some of the nicest guests we have experienced in the many years we have been renting our home in Cape May.
