The host did not respond to my 2/6 message about having a catered dinner for 15 on 2/13. Caterer booked. When checking in, she agreed that was okay, then at 8:30 the eve before she sent a text saying no.The house listing encourages bringing in a private chef. To be told this last minute ruined my night and caused me to scramble for a new place as caterer was paid.Remodel obviously not finished throughout the house. The amenities throughout were a mess. This house was not ready to be rented. We felt stuck as we were in town for a wedding with nowhere else to go on short notice. The issues with the house: (1) Broken bedframe, (2) outlets and switches not working through the house, (3) washer and dryer were not hooked up and had to use up extension cords draping across the hallway to get the machine to work to be able to wash towels as requested by host, (4) master bedroom had locked closets.Was told to hang clothes downstairs as other bedrooms were in use. (5) Blue painters tape, putty, supplies stacked outside the house. Packages arrived daily with more supplies. 6) Lighting fixtures missing from ceiling and had exposed wires. Holes in walls. No outdoor lighting from very dark parking pathway to front door. (6) Downstairs bathroom did not drain, flooding bath and causing handicapped person to slip. She could not take any more showers while there as can't climb stairs. 7) New driveway not tied into road, deep gap, causing our rental cars to scrape badly.
