Enjoy a Spring getaway at our 3-bedroom, 2- full bath cottage on private Government Lake only 30 minutes from Caberfae Peaks Ski, free Wi-Fi and dog friendly. Enjoy the picturesque view of quiet, private Government Lake while soaking your cares away in our 6-person hot tub or private ensuite soaking tub after a busy day of activities. Close to Baldwin and the Pere Marquette River or do a day trip to Ludington, Silver Lake or Pentwater. Fenced in front yard gives your pet a great place to hang out. A great place to relax and unwind or use as a home base for day trips.

Please note that you will be sent our rental agreement once you book your stay.
Please note there is a max of 2 dogs allowed with a per pet fee. ONLY DOGS ALLOWED, NO OTHER PETS, OF ANY KIND ALLOWED

Had a wonderful stay during a ski trip. The hot tub was wonderful and the view was great. We would love to stay again in the summer when we'd be able to enjoy the lake.

We just wanted to get a way for a weekend to relax and unwind. This place allowed us to do just that. We rested and was able to relax in the hot tub and have a quiet weekend. The cottage was so nice and clean and had so much space. We will be booking again in the future!

We did a girls weekend at this lake house and it was wonderful! Perfect setting for what we wanted. It was close to town for groceries and dinners. The house was perfect for us with the internet hot tub and lake view! Would highly recommend staying here our host mike was also wonderful to deal with!

Nice place on lake

Great place! 4 stars for location simply because its quite close to Highway 37 which can be a bit noisy when outside, but really not a big deal.

The listing photos were somewhat misleading. The property is located directly next to a major highway, which we were not expecting. We believed we had booked a secluded, peaceful location, but the highway noise was clearly audible inside the house and made it difficult to sleep in the morning.It was also apparent that the home is pet-friendly, as there was dog hair on the couch upon arrival. Additionally, the cleaning fee felt excessive given that we left the property in the same condition we found it, especially with a departure checklist of tasks that guests were expected to complete.The hot was nice but then again all you could hear was vehicles driving by.

Newly updated, a little quirky

House was nice and new updated, but missing some basic: cleaning supplies, plunger, end tables in bedrooms. Disappointed front yard was not mowed and thistles were growing over onto dock. Perfect for pets that front yard is fenced in, but be careful as the house is next to the highway. Very noisy. I loved the hot tub and having laundry on site. The lake was nice, very small and muck bottom.

We agree that a plunger is a great idea. Our listing clearly states that this cottage is near a busy road so there could be road noise when you are outside. You can't hear the road noise inside the cottage, however. The only bedroom that doesn't have a night stand is the bunk room which we don't feel is necessary.
