Journey's End - Mountain views from your hot tub!

Located at the top of a private drive, Journey's End is a 672 sq. ft. one-bedroom log cabin with natural pine tongue-and-groove walls, exposed beams, and a metal roof. Its charm extends throughout the entire cabin with simple touches, decorative accents, and modern comforts. Journey's End has a living area with a gas stone fireplace, TCL 43 in Smart TV and large viewing windows as well as a fully equipped kitchen with dining for two. The king bedroom has a clothes closet and a jetted tub. The full bathroom – accessible from both the bedroom and living area – has a large vanity and a washer/dryer closet. The design allows for quiet relaxation, inside and out.

On the front porch, you'll find rockers, a small bistro table, and a hot tub – as well as that panoramic mountain view at any time of day or night. In the early morn or at twilight, you may be blessed to see the smoky mist rise. During the day, as the sun shines and clouds float overhead, it is so quiet that the only sounds heard are those of wind and birds as you relax and reflect. Hawks and eagles fly by frequently, and – based upon the season – bears wander nearby. At night, admire the city lights of nearby Pigeon Forge or the glow from Gatlinburg down in the valley. Being with a special someone, alone in nature, is the benefit of cabin life.

Originally established in 2002, Journey's End was rebuilt in the fall of 2017 after the 2016 Gatlinburg Fire. This cabin is a selectively secluded, picture-perfect mountain retreat offering solitude and beauty for those who stay here. Smoky Mountain adventures are everywhere, and Journey's End is close to it all. It is conveniently located off The Spur between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The Smoky Mountain National Park, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg are only a few miles away. If wishing to vacation with others, nearby cabins by the same owner are Always, Ever After, and Life's a Bear.

Journey’s End never disappoints. My wife and I honeymooned there and came back to celebrate 20 years. Private setting is great, views from the porch are amazing. Morning coffee in a rocker, watching the light come up or the sun set is a daily event not to be missed.

Amazing!

We had an amazing time staying at Journey's End for our 1st wedding anniversary. It was cute and cozy. Very clean and welcoming. My only wish was that there was a T.V. in the bedroom. However, this is just a personal preference because my husband and I like to watch T.V. while we are going to sleep. Other than that, everything was perfect. Highly recommend.

Cozy Cabin!

Very nice cozy cabin. It was extremely clean with plenty of linens. Kitchen was decently stocked but if you need anything specific, bring it. You get just basics in the kitchen but it was enough and we have stayed in so many rentals we know to just bring a bit everything we like to have. The views are absolutely spectacular. We could have just sat on the porch all day. Close to all you want to do in gatlinburg or pigeon forge. We drove up in our 4WD truck and glad we did! That driveway up is super steep!! We will visit again. Customer service was great too! Thank you!!

Beautiful View

My husband & I stayed here for our honeymoon! We absolutely loved it. It was the perfect place for just the two of us. The view is amazing!! Probably our favorite part!! The cabin is so nice & cozy. It’s also nice & quiet!! Finding the cabin was a little difficult for us but we finally figured it out. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Great cabin. The pictures don’t do this place justice. Excellent views, comfortable bed, fantastic jacuzzi tub, everything was great. Smoky Villa was great to work with as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Spot

This place is amazing! The cabin itself is so nice, clean, and cozy, but the views from the porch are absolutely gorgeous. Our favorite thing to do was to sit out there in the mornings to have a cup of coffee, and then watch the sunset after a day of exploring the area. We will be planning to come back to stay again in the future, and will recommend staying here to everyone we can! Pro tip: make sure you have a vehicle that can handle going up and down the mountain roads, since they are a bit tight and can get quite steep.

Great Getaway

Great cabin in the hills. Beautiful views in the mornings and evenings. The drive to the cabin is a little challenging the first time, and the GPS kept leading us to the wrong house, but a quick call got us there. The cabin was as described, and very clean. We would stay there again.

Nice cabin with good mountain views. The road leading to the cabin is very narrow with very limited visibility.

Great get away cabin

We were sad to leave this little cabin…wished we would have booked a day or two more. Glad we stayed here rather than in closer to Gatlinburg. The cabin itself was amazingly clean and tidy! The only miss was we needed one more roll of TP and maybe some salt & pepper ☺️. Otherwise a great place!

The Unexpected Experience

My husband and I stayed at Journey's End June 5-9. I was a little worried about the size plus other reviews stated is was not well supplied. The size was perfect with lots of storage areas and the supplies were more than basic with some "hotel level" items. The view is spectacular, but the drive up and down the mountain is a bit of a challenge. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you !

Wonderful Cabin

Great cabin, clean, well maintained and mgmnt company is excellent to work with. All processes beginning to end is painless. The cabin is up there and a steep drive, not for the squeamish, and definitely worth the climb. There is a but… the cabin is missing things you would expect of a vrbo. Litterally, bring the kitchen sink for whatever you may need as essentials in my opinion are lacking. I really hate to write this, as the cabin is very nice, secluded, and a joy, but just want future guests to be prepared. No hair dryer, no coffee filters for the coffee pot, no briquettes for the grill, etc. it is clean, and cleanly furnished.

Peaceful escape

Journey's End is a perfect couple's retreat. Everything was very clean, comfortable, check-in and check-out was simple, and all we had to do was relax and enjoy the beautiful view. While there were other homes within view, we barely saw any evidence of other people. Since it is located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, there were also many options for other activities nearby. We highly recommend it for other couples looking to get away.
