The Ross House is a beautiful country home in the rolling hills of Pendleton County, Kentucky. It sits quietly in the little burg of Gardnersville, 7 miles east of I-75, perfect for family or friend get-aways! Enjoy a cup of morning coffee on the Sun porch that includes a hot tub, table for 6 and beautiful views. With a fully furnished kitchen, this is the perfect place to gather for a family get-together. You can enjoy a large family meal with the formal dining room that seats 10. Breakfast room with beautiful bay window includes a table for 6. Large family room with comfy seating and a 65 inch smart TV ready for movie night. Sunken family room with a sofa bed and smart TV. All the comforts of home with luxury hotel amenities such as hotel style toiletries, free wifi, comfortable beds, quality linens, plenty of towels, separate beach towels included for hot tub.

From the fresh baked pumpkin bread to the toiletries…this was truly a home away from home. We enjoyed visiting 3 states while we stayed here. Host was very prompt in answering any questions we had. Looking forward to our next visit.

What a peaceful view! We loved the rolling hills and the cows on the hillside. House was very well appointed, and host responded quickly. This was a great respite after a busy day touring the ark and creation museum.

We absolutely loved staying here! Everything about it was perfect. It was the most beautiful view and plenty of room for our ten family members. The beds were super comfortable and the host was so nice. Would highly recommend this. An easy drive to the Ark Encounter and Creation museum.

It was great! We were very impressed with the number of towels available. Often times, there are not enough towels without having to wash them. The house was very nice and the view was beautiful!It was spacious for the 8 of us.

Sweet Mini-Vacay

We live almost an hour away from the Ark Encounter; however, we wanted to make our visit into a miniature get-a-way to relax and reset. The Ross House was fabulous! Our expectations were met and exceeded. We truly recommend this Vrbo. Friends reunion

Property was absolutely beautiful inside and out. Gorgeous backyard. Rolling hills that we enjoyed a beautiful sunset and a quiet foggy hillside before the sun burned it off. We all wish we could have stayed longer. Great wi-fi, spacious kitchen and eating area. Host was responsive to inquiries. Would highly recommend!

Rolling Hills and Beautiful View

The home was beautifully decorated and very welcoming. The owners were very friendly and responded quickly to any questions that we had. The property is located in a quiet area in the country between the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum. All of this made it a perfect place for my husband and I to stay for our vacation. We highly recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a place in this area.

Family trip to The Ark

Very clean house, it was the perfect place to relax and spend our week in Tennessee! The views are amazing, the hot tub was wonderful, and the host, Carla, was so responsive.Homemade cookies upon check in were an unexpected surprise! Added bonus was all the kitchen supplies/utensils that were in the kitchen. It made making dinners so much easier! Will stay again if ever in the area.

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay at this home. It was very clean and well stocked and had a beautiful view. It was convenient to the Ark encounter and downtown Cincinnati. We were welcomed with homemade cookies and the home had everything we needed. The kids enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings with sunset views over the hillside. We would definitely recommend this property.

The Ross Family: A Legacy of Agriculture and Community
From Brooker Bowen to Arnold and Jo Ross
L.E. (Brooker) Bowen, affectionately known as Grandpa, embarked on his journey in the farm implement business in 1927 in Gardenersville, signing a contract with International Harvester. Brooker and his wife Thelma had three daughters: Sue, Jo, and Jane.
Just a couple of miles east of Gardnersville on Highway 491, John and Hazel Ross cultivated a small farm and raised a family of six children. From an early age, John and Hazel’s middle son, Arnold, knew he would marry Jo Bowen. True to his childhood conviction, Arnold and Jo were married in April 1956. Following their nuptials, they moved to Annapolis, Maryland, during Arnold’s service in the Navy.
After fulfilling his duty in the Navy, Arnold, Jo, and their firstborn daughter Kim returned to Gardnersville. Arnold joined his father-in-law Brooker in the implement business and they had three more children: Matt, Brad and Mark. The year 1969 marked a significant milestone as Arnold and Jo purchased the implement business from Brooker.
The Ross family made their home in and around the dealership, as well as on a small cattle farm. Construction of their home began in 1973 and was completed in 1975 when the family of six moved in. Building the house was a collaborative effort for the Ross family. The boys recall spending afternoons after school hauling rocks from the creek for the fireplace and stone wall. The stone mason, an 82-year-old craftsman, relied on the boys as his "muscle" to lift rocks, mix mortar, and hoisting ‘ole Ben on the scaffolding.
In 2018, the Ross family sold the implement business but continued in the cattle business operating this farm and others around the county. The enduring dedication to farming is a tribute to Arnold and Jo Ross’s legacy. Today, their home serves as a welcoming haven for visitors from across the country, embodying the spirit and heritage of the Ross family.
