Best view ever

We enjoyed watching the sunrise every morning. Great pools on property. Easy walk to Coki beach. Everything was wonderful!

Beautiful view!

We stayed in this condo 40 years ago for our honeymoon. Was nice to come back and see the changes and Point Pleasant is just as beautiful as we remember it!

Hard to say goodbye!

I miss this place already! I can’t wait to come back. Everyone on the island was amazing and kind! Be sure to tip when you can, everyone is so hard working. I’ll never forget some of the sunrises we got to see from this balcony!

The condo was just as described & the views were breathtaking! The staff at the property were very nice! They only small complaint would be the outdoor patio lounges could be updated due some tearing of the material but were still usable. (Salt water/sun will do that - no fault of the owner)

Great location and friendly staff

This is our second time at Point Pleasant. We pick it because of its proximity to the Red Hook ferry to St. John and because it is extremely affordable. The units are a bit older but most have some renovations done. The towels and sheets can be hit or miss as far as wear and age. There were 6 couples in our group on this trip all in different units. One couple’s unit directly beneath ours had severe roach issues in the bathroom, but we never saw anything. Just know you’re getting a very economical unit with a great view and you’ll have a great stay.

Great Escape

Views from B20 were absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed watching the sunrise each morning, while in the evening the lights over Margaritaville were stunning from the wrap-around windows and deck. While B20 offered front door parking and convenience, the unit itself needed some attention. We were completely unaware there were specific check-in hours or that the front desk closed at 6 pm. We had picked up our rental car after landing and had stopped to pick up supplies when the front desk called us asking when we would arrive because they ‘closed’ in 20 minutes. Not to worry, security could let us in, and while they did, it wasn’t a smooth beginning. The Unit: We shopped as we like to cook and eat half our meals from the unit, but there was NO oven, as advertised in the amenities section for this unit. The fully equipped kitchen was a hodgepodge of items; we made it work, unfortunately throwing away many items we could not use without an oven. There were no cleaning supplies other than a very small bottle of dish detergent and one dish towel. I washed glassware, plates, and utensils with paper towels. I felt the place was dirty/grimy the entire week. Considering there were mostly glass top surfaces, and countertops, a bottle of Windex and some anti-bacterial wipes would go a long way, perhaps a Swifter as well. The window cranks were broken and wouldn’t close so the A/C ran, and the warm air came in. There were bugs in the kitchen drawers and on the counters, and I get we were on an island, but I believe an exterminator could solve that fairly easily as I’ve not had an issue like that in previous places in similar environments. The mattress is in dire need of replacement, but waking up to the sun through the skylight and the view out the patio doors more than made up for the deficiencies. I don’t think it would take much effort to really make this place sparkle! The Resort: Be prepared to walk steep hills. The laundry facility was broken down with only one machine working. The main pool was nicely kept, the pool near Shoreline Grill could use some love. 4 stars for the beauty, the location and convenience. The $$ is worth it if the small fixes are addressed! Big shout out to Kade, who makes every outing a pleasure with his amazing smile and greetings at the gate. Shoreline Grill is a great stop onsite with good food and drinks and exceptional service thanks to Heather, Tim, and team!!

Thank you for the feedback. We are so sorry for the inconveniences. Our lobby hours since the pandemic have been advertised from 8am-6pm so we try to call guests if we do not see them arrive by 5pm to see their estimated time arrival. If a guests arrives late for check in the security guards check them in at the front gate and help escort guest to the rooms. The kitchen doesn't have a traditional oven but it does have a convection oven microwave. The kitchen is equipped with utensils and cookware. If any more equipment was needed the front desk would've gladly delivered more cookware or toiletries to the room. We have sponges and since housekeeping isn't provided many refills on products/toiletries such as dish soap is delivered upon request. We are sorry the villa wasn't cleaned to your liking that is not our standard. We do have monthly exterminations and also can provide bug spray if mosquitos become a pest. We will forward your suggestions to get a new mattress or mattress topper. The maintenance team has been informed as well and we will be fixing the window issue.

1st time in St. Thomas

Absolutely beautiful view. We spent many hours on the deck watching sunrises, storms and picture perfect days. Also saw several sea turtles and a ray right from the deck! Property was wonderful and we really enjoyed the nature trail and Sugar Beach. Walking distance to Margaritaville and Coki beach was great as well. The condo was great overall. Just needs a few minor maintenance items repaired. I'd certainly stay again. Regarding the resort, our favorite person was the morning gate attendant. Wish I had gotten his name but he had a great personality. My wish is that the front desk would have given us a run down of what was available for services. We arrived a bit late so it wasn't a typical check-in but a quick rundown would have been nice. Otherwise the staff was very friendly and we felt like it was a safe location. What a view!

From the property, it is a short drive to Smith Bay, Megan Bay, and the car ferry for a day trip to Saint John. An extra bonus was the Shoreline Grille where you could refuel when needed.

Enjoyed my stay

Very nice property. Amenities were great. We traveled with 10 month old baby and we were given a condo with ramp, because we had to use stroller. Very thoughtful of them to do this. No steps to climb.

Perfect Spot

We rented this property for a long weekend away from the cold, grey winter. We had never been to the USVI so had no idea where to stay. By pure chance, we found the perfect spot. Point Pleasant is on the east end of the island away from the chaos of the airport and cruise ships but close to the shops and restaurants of Red Hook and the ferry to St. John. There was always a taxi there ready to take us where we wanted to go, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The resort is stunning, with nature trails and restaurants and pools, and not at all crowded. There are blooming plants everywhere (like you are staying on the edge of a rainforest) and once in a while a cute little lizard or hermit crab will scurry across the path. The pelicans swoosh and dive over the water as they fish. . . . You really have a sense you are part of the island. The wrap-around view from this unit is exceptional and unobstructed. The sunrises were stunning! The resort has a small beach if you want to jump in a snorkel, but is only a short walk, mostly along another beach, to Coki Beach, which one of the locals told us is his favorite beach on the island. The water is calm there, it wasn’t crowded, and it has every amenity you could want — chairs, umbrellas, water, chair-side service of food and drinks, and clean bathrooms. And everything was reasonably priced. (E.g.., two chairs and umbrella for the day @ $20; waters @ $1 each.) We soaked up every minute!! We’ve stayed at a lot of very nice places and this was tops. Only caveats would be that if you are looking for a rocking social scene, or things like turndown service and mints on your pillow, or can’t easily walk up and down steep hills, this isn’t for you. Otherwise, we highly recommend. We are already planning our next stay.

Okay. Not great. Needs upkeep

The views are outstanding but the point pleasant resort needs a lot of work. The hurricanes damage is still evident and the rooms lack attention to detail. Initial look is nice and the rooms are spacious. But there is so much that needs to be addressed. Some closet doors wouldn’t open, no coffee maker and just overall lack of the detail or care that would make this a 5. The staff is nice and helpful. Cabs readily available. But the property’s pools and grounds are lacking care.

Beautiful view and very relaxing

Will definitely stay at this resort again. Had a great time exploring the island and taking the car ferry over to St. John was a plus.

First Trip

This is our first trip to St Thomas and Point Pleasant is a great initiation to the island. We rented unit B7 and it is outstanding. The decor is first class and it is immaculate. Outstanding views of the neighboring islands from the large deck. Local amenities are innumerable and diverse. From excellent onsite services to the delightful restaurants and courtesies, it can’t be beat. The staff is courteous and very accommodating. The owner was very helpful in giving restaurant and activity recommendations! All were top notch suggestions. Looking forward to coming back again.

Great value in a great location ...

We really enjoyed our stay at PPR. The check in process was super smooth (and friendly), the property grounds were always clean, and the staff was all around AWESOME. It is located near Red Hook which is a great area. We also took the boat ferry over to St John and the drive to the Ferry was VERY close. If you have the chance to check out St.John - DO IT - the views are breathtaking. There are tons of great beach spots within a few minutes drive of the resort. Grab your complimentary snorkel gear and go check them out. TIP: Use baby shampoo in your goggles to avoid fogging up. :) Overall we loved our stay at PPR. We had a few minor issues that were out of the resorts control but they did their best to make things right. I would not hesitate to book here again.

It was all amazing. The room, the island, the beaches, especially the beaches. Loved it all. Will definitely come back again. It’s more a relaxing location than a party location though
