The Woodland Cottage offers a romantic, fairytale-inspired escape—adorned inside and out with unique, charming details. Cozy up indoors or explore peaceful outdoor spaces including garden seating, picnic areas, wooded walking trails, and a fire pit.

Nestled in the woods yet conveniently located near local amenities, this dreamy cottage blends comfort and charm in every corner.

Enjoy scenic views of a cattle pasture across the road—perfectly framed by the living room window.

The property includes lawns, a deck, and, garden seating, private wooded areas on multiple sides.

Please Note: A chiropractic office is located to the west side of the parking lot, with a growing tree barrier that provides only partial privacy at this time. The cottage sits just off a main road, and some traffic noise may be heard outside. However, guests have not reported this effecting their positive experiences.

What a lovely cottage feel! Perfect retreat. Comfortable beds, soft robes, and fully equipped kitchen. Would love to come back when it’s warmer out to take advantage of the outdoor amenities more.

The cottage is among the best properties we have ever stayed at-wonderfully decorated and spotlessly clean. We loved the walking trails in back and all the outdoor spaces for relaxing. Have already recommended it to others!

It’s a very nice place, clean, charming and everything you need is there. The host is very good. She is prompt with every request; she is a great communicator. The only drawback was the location (industrial) and the noisy road.

Absolutely book this cottage!! Valerie goes out of her way with thoughtful details and attention to detail. We have so many favorite things about this property, but have to say all the “secret gardens” in the trees really put this cottage over the top! By far our favorite stay ever! Thank you, Valerie!!

Wonderful Cottage

Beautiful property, that the owner obviously takes great pride in. Upon arrival everthing was meticulously prepared down to music playing on the tv. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with supplies. Highly recommended!!

Remote paradise - will absolutely be staying again!!

Gorgeous and spotless. Tucked away close enough to KC if you need it, but far enough that it’s a getaway. Absolutely loved it!! Host responded immediately every time I had a question. Amazing!! You have to rent here!

Wonderful

We've stayed in many VRBOs. This property is the best . Best in cleanliness, owner communication and respecting our privacy. The cottage exhibits absolute attention to detail, both inside and out. Music, fireplace, lights, fresh flowers, robes and slippers were all waiting upon our arrival. Valerie truly was ever accommodating.

I spent the first 18 years of my adult life serving as a Registered Nurse in various capacities throughout Sacramento, California. Since relocating to Richmond, Missouri, I’ve joyfully redirected my passion and energy into personally designing and developing beautiful housing, lodging, and amenities—bringing a touch of magic, beauty, and comfort to the local community.
