Was ok

Had a little trouble communicating with the owner and getting in the first day. Also couple of hiccups through the trip but overall was a very nice place to stay. Would recommend to others

Beachfront Paradise

2nd floor location offers large windows that overlook the sandy beach of Crystal Beach. This quiet, secluded section of waterfront is a hidden gem along the shores of Canada's South Coast. The owner keeps a watchful eye over the fun he wants everyone to experience in the area, yet keeps a distance as to give you your private space. The entryway gave hints of a Mediterranean feel with bistro chairs and tables. The place shows wear, but any lakefront place can call them Noble Blemishes. Plan to have a little patience when not finding all the tools in the kitchen that are needed for cooking and serving more than 2-4 people. Wished we had access earlier in our stay for the Kayaks we discovered just before leaving. Also, wanted more than one bike that was listed in his options of amenities. Large Fridge & Freezer kept everything perfect for the week. Be careful about the Raccoons that made their presence on more than one night. He had other guests using the other properties on this private road. All were very friendly and were repeat customers who spoke very highly of the owner. We do look forward to another adventure to Crystal Beach.

Great property

The place was very nice. A rustic feel with a beautiful view of the lake from the large windows! Very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be back!

Perfect Location

The place and location is great, especially if you have kids. I like the fact that the owner leaves on site . I did not like the bathroom it was difficult to bath my little one. Considering that it is summer fan was not enough to cool us down. Regardless to that we did enjoyed our stay. People in city are friendly.

Nice view, Lots of issues with the property, Would not stay there again

No address given of property location, only street name given. Owner states it's the only property on that street, not true, there are several houses on that street. Difficult to find. Shocked to find out there were no linens or bath towels. We have never been to a rental where they were not included. Listing did not state that linens were not included. Had to go out and purchase bed linens soon after arriving. Windows made of wood and did not work properly or at all. There were two windows in the kitchen, one had no screen and did not open, the other only opened a few inches. Two windows in the living area, one would only stay open with the wood stick in it, the other only opened a few inches. There were two windows in the master bedroom, one would slam down without the wood stick in it keeping it open, the other barely opened and didn't stay open. Window in the second bedroom had horizontal metal bars on it. Very dangerous! No one would be unable to get out of that window if there was a fire. It was hot out and we were unable to open the windows properly to let air in in the whole apartment. Smoke detector missing in the kitchen. Toaster did not work. Owner stated he knew one of the outlets in the kitchen was not working. Lamp switch was broken off of the lamp on the table next to the bed, unable to use the lamp. TV only had 1 channel. DVD player did not work. Portable DVD player not hooked up so it could not be used. TV very unsteady, wobbled back and forth. Blinds on the windows were stained and did not work properly. We were charged an additional guest fee. Listing states sleeps 4-6. We had 6. When we asked the owner why we were charged an additional guest fee he stated VRBO does that. Per VRBO the homeowner is the one who sets the limits and additional charges. When I asked the homeowner when I would receive my deposit he stated, "when you take your stuff out! All I have to do is push a button and you get it:" We did not receive our deposit until a week later. The beach was not what we thought it would be. Lots of rocks, garbage, and seaweed. Very unkept. The view we had of the lake was very nice. The area surrounding the rental was very quiet. But we will never stay there again due to the condition of the rental unit. The owner was nice, but he needs to replace and repair items to their proper working order.

Spectacular view!

This home away from home offers a spectacular view. Right on the beach. Sunrises and sunsets. Peaceful and relaxing environment. Perfect get away for couples or families. Walking distance to quaint restaurants and entertainment. The owner is onsite, and very friendly and helpful... But gives you your space :)

Nice and quiet

Very clean lower apt and friendly owner who lives on the premises. fully equipped kitchen and coin op washer /dryer in apt.. Gorgeous views from the natural beach and boat dock nearby,Near Palmwoods restaurant but did not hear any noise. a nice little w/e getaway from the states in 20 min. It is near the end of the Yacht Club and short walk to Bay Beach.
