with a group, this is THE best option!

Franks property is immaculately clean, many room/bed options that work for many different types of groups (families/couples/friends), and is perfectly located in the center of Budapest. Frank is incredibly responsive and provided lots of helpful information about transportation and attractions throughout the city. The check-in/check-out process was incredibly simple. We had zero issues checking in and out. If you are traveling to Budapest with a group, this is THE best option!

wunderbare Unterkunft für eine Gruppe

Wir haben diese Unterkunft über den 1. Mai gebucht. Genau das richtige für unsere Gruppe. Wir waren mit 8 Pärchen und 4 Singles unterwegs - alte Studienfreunde. Alle hatten ihre eigenen Betten und Zimmer. Sehr großzügig und schick. Parkettböden überall, Fahrstuhl, schicke Bäder und sehr viel Platz. Man ist sofort im Herzen der Stadt. Um die Ecke gibt es einen großartigen Markt und tolle Restaurants und Cafes. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Für diesen unschlagbaren Preis hätten wir nirgends etwas Vergleichbares mieten können. This is the right place for big groups

We where on a business trip to Budapest. Everything worked fine. 12 of us had a great bedroom and more space then usually at home. Fantastic for a bargain price. Thanks a lot for it.

We spent a great time in this apartment

Everything is like in the images, even better I think. Its a spacious well furnished flat on the right place. Its fun to go for grocery into the old Market hall around the corner. Also everything is in front of the door and you can walk from here to everywhere. We just loved it. Only one little thing to mention, there was a bottle of open wine in the fridge. May be from the guests before us. But you know what, we just finished it. See you hopefully again. Jan and Family

Super Lage und Super Wohnungen - SUPER SUPER

Wir waren hier für eine Woche mit 20 Leuten und es war unschlagbar günstig und extrem hoher Standard. Franks Wohnungen sind alle sehr sauber. Die zentrale Lage ist genial und unschlagbar, nur wenige Minuten zu Fuß ins jüdische Viertel, um die Ecke das Cafehaus New York, viele Restaurants und Bars vor der Tür. Einfach genial gelegen. Die Wohnungen selbst sind sehr gut ausgestattet, alles da was man braucht und noch viel schöner als auf den Fotos. Außerdem sind sie enorm groß. Einfach viel Luft und Platz und überall Fahrstuhl. Wir waren uns alle einige, dass dies 5 Sterne wert ist. Vielen Dank für die tollen Tipps. Bis bald ....

AMAZIN PLACE FOR A BIG GROUP OF FRIENDS OR FAMILY

We where picked up at the airport and helped with check in. Everything was very easy to find. Our group - 8 men and 10 women - came for a 40th birthday. Franks place was the perfect solution for it. Everybody got a lot of space and high standard living right in the centre of Budapest. Some of us have been here before and also rented holiday flats, but never had seen such great place like these flats of Frank. For a small budget you get a 5 star place you would not dream of. The pictures already show that it is a great place, but if you enter the apt´s its even better. We enjoyed our time a lot and plan to come back for our next birthday... THANKS FRANK FOR ALL THE TIPPS

Know Before You Go!

We were a group of 21 and I was the leader who organized this trip. We began in Budapest before boarding a cruise ship on the Danube. My husband and I were the first to arrive to the first of four apartments and we were immediately aware that the accommodations were not at a level that was comfortable. Of the 21 only 6 stayed in the apartments. First of all the "Deluxe Apartment" overlooks the street and without air conditioning, we were forced to open the windows that had no screens. With constant police sirens and noisy metros and bees coming through, that was the first reason to leave. In addition, the apartment had a tiny third bedroom that had a tinier window that opened onto the alley in back. There is only one toilet in each apartment and be advised that you must bring everything, including TP. This would be fine and fun for students who want a week in this beautiful city, but, when we arrived after 27 hours of travel, avoiding the trash near the garbage in the entry, stuffed ourselves and two suitcases into the ancient elevator, arrived on the fourth floor and figured out the strange locks at every level, we realized we would have to go back out for coffee, TP and soap, we were not happy. Others who had arrived were texting me that their apartment smelled like something was dead and wondered where we could go. There are other, very good options available through VRBO. Frank is a very good photographer, but I have learned a lesson not to be suckered in by photos of cappuccino makers. We had already paid extra for two additional people and a late check out, but when we arrived he wrote to inform me that we owed him for two additional people. Thankfully, I still had the email with this documented. When I told Frank that we were very upset and disappointed and that only 6 of our people stayed, his only remark was "What can I say?" On one positive note, before arriving, Frank was helpful in connecting us to a cab service and very responsive to any questions. My warning is that if you do decide to use these apartments you should go when it's cold (no open windows needed) and only with 4 people per apartment. Bring TP, coffee, and soap with you. Very disappointing experience. Thankfully the rest of the trip was great. WE WERE 21 VERY UNHAPPY SLEEPERS!

nice stay right in the centre

We had a great time at Franks place. The pickup from the airport was comfortable for such a big group. We all had a lot of space more then in any hotel we normally stay in. The Tipps from Frank about restaurants, Spas and nightlife where superb. We highly recommend this place for big groups who like to enjoy nice cities and nice apartments, like Franks. Thanks

Super Wochenende im Herbst - Klasse Unterkunft

Wir waren hier zu 18zehnt - alle aus unserem alten Studienjahrgang. Jedes Jahr treffen wir uns in einer anderen Stadt. Budapest und Franks Unterkunft waren der absolute Hit. Einfach riesig, sauber und extrem geschmackvoll. Danke für die tolle Zeit.

Great place to stay, great price.

Thank you for the delightful stay in the Grand Budapest and Design apartments. The location was great for our FINA event as well as tourism in the city. Ventilators ( and the local beers)we're an easy fix for the heat wave. I'm not sure there is a fix for the post disco street noise. I enjoyed the Design apartment layout, with the 2 rooms in the front best this apartment had better pots and pans. The sound systems are great and the mighty coffee machines are fabulous. We were able to cook dinners easily. For those who are not interested in the hotel experience , and price I highly recommend your accommodations. Double thumbs up for the taxi recommendation Really good for the first ride in from the airport, and the 4AM ride back!

Our group had 5 perfect apartments

We had a party of 26 and our arrival was in the wee hours of the morning but that was not a problem for our hosts Frank and Ellie. We were met at the airport by four van taxi's and the drivers had very good English and they helped us with the doors and codes. Our hosts met us at the apartment on arrival to make sure that we were satisfied, the apartment fridge had a small supply and cheese, meat, buns and wine a wonderful and appreciated surprise. The apartments were clean the and well stocked with anything you may have needed. The beds were comfortable and everyone had a private area to dress and clean up. In the morning we received an email checking on us and our needs. The location of our apartments was perfect the trams, metro, subways, banks and markets were just moments away. This made the big city of Budapest seem small and we were able to enjoy all of the sites from just taking the transportation outside our apartments. Any questions we had were quickly answered from our hosts and they went over and beyond to give us food, tour, and shopping advice. When our stay came to an end our host arranged taxis to pick us up and drop us at the airport everything went perfect and I would not hesitate to stay with Ellie and Frank in Budapest again. Thank you for our wonderful stay !

Klasse Trip, rundum perfekt und sehr zu empfehlen

Lieber Frank, vielen Dank für die supertollen Wohnungen. Du warst für Rückfragen bei der Buchung und vor Ort immer unkompliziert und zuverlässig schnell erreichbar. Die Wohnungen liegen sehr zentral, sind sehr authentisch und haben einen tollen Standard, der keine Wünsche offen lässt. Wir waren mit über 15 Freunden in Budapest und hatten 3 Wohnungen. Gleich neben der Nr. 14 gibt es ein tolles Teherán Bufé und eine tolle Kneipe mit sehr netten Leuten, einfach super zum Ankommen ;-) Es hat uns ALLEN super Spaß gemacht und haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Ein absoluter Wohlfühltraum

Eine prachtvolles Refugium hoch über der Stadt , großzügig geschnitten , überaus geschmackvoll und stilsicher eingerichtet, mit einer einmaligen Wohlfühlatmosphäre, wie ich sie bisher selten erlebt habe.Die Wohnung liegt genial, alles ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen..absolut empfehlenswert: die historische Markthalle nur 100 Meter neben der Wohnung. Ich lehn mich mal ganz weit raus und behaupte: Man kann in Budapest für dieses Geld nicht besser wohnen! Go for it, ich weiß, wovon ich rede. Dirk
