Your Private Horseshoe Lake Retreat is an exclusive 85-acre all-sports lake that feels a world away from everyday life, yet sits just 10 minutes from downtown Ann Arbor. The lake is yours to explore with three kayaks and a paddleboard waiting at your private sandy beach As evening falls, gather around the waterfront fire pit with complimentary kiln-dried wood for s'mores and stargazing.

Spacious Comfort: This thoughtfully designed retreat features two bedrooms plus a loft, two full bathrooms, and a half bath—plenty of space for families or friends to spread out and relax in comfort. Bedrooms feature Bob Timberlake furniture for a rustic look. Each room features a decor to completement a simple yet unique style. From custom to creative art.

Wildlife & Wonder: Keep your camera ready—deer step to the water's edge for their evening drink. Majestic swans glide across the water. Blue herons stake their fishing spots. welcoming and thoughtful

Surprised and welcomed with fresh veggies from owners farm and snack basket. Lovely accommodations. Very comfortable home and beautiful setting. Great communications from host and thoughtful gestures. Overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Longhorns visiting the Big House

We had a fantastic and most memorable first time visit to Ann Arbor and the University of Michigan. The accommodations were spotless, charming, well appointed, and on a wonderful quiet property overlooking a beautiful private lake. Cool Michigan weather allowed for fabulous firewood in the fire pit lakeside. Some terrific fishing and only 15+ minutes to The Big House for football game.

Cabin on the lake

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming cabin on the lake, and it was a truly unforgettable experience. The cabin itself was cozy and well-maintained, providing a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. The large windows offered stunning views of the lake, which created a serene and peaceful atmosphere throughout the day. One of the highlights of our stay was the easy access to the lake. We spent hours kayaking, fishing, and simply relaxing by the water's edge. The private dock was a fantastic addition, allowing us to enjoy the water at any time without the crowds you'd typically find at a public beach. In the evenings, we gathered around the fire pit to roast marshmallows and share stories, adding a perfect end to our days. Inside, the cabin was well-equipped with a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and a cozy living area with a fireplace that was perfect for cooler nights. The decor was tasteful and fitting for the natural setting, enhancing the overall cabin feel. Overall, this cabin on the lake was a fantastic getaway that offered tranquility and natural beauty.

We are natives of Michigan and have enjoyed building a lakehouse. This is our personal residence. We are blessed to have another house 13 minutes away, where we started building our small farm. We have been spending less time at the lakehouse and decided to open it up for others to enjoy as much as we have.

We were fortunate to get the location we chose on Horseshoe Lake. The view is amazing from the living room or the back deck. The opposite side of the lake is undeveloped and scenic. The house sits on the tip of the peninsula.
