We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend this property. It gave us a spacious and comfortable place to gather together as a family while celebrating our daughter’s graduation, which made the trip feel even more special. The thoughtful touches throughout the home really stood out — the complimentary house slippers, coffee, and tea were especially appreciated and made us feel welcomed right away.The location was quiet, peaceful, and easily walkable, which made getting around enjoyable. We also really enjoyed the outdoor furniture — the weather was beautiful during our stay, and having such a comfortable outdoor space was an unexpected bonus. Overall, it was a great place to relax, celebrate, and make family memories.

Good location; accurate description and photos - house was functional with good sized rooms and space for us - beds comfortable and nice bathrooms; parking secure. Only concern is there are tenants in basement and food smells and noise- even conversation, can be heard on ground floor. Although separate space, was more connected than we expected with smells and noise.

We booked this property for a family stay during our daughter’s graduation and it was a great fit. There was lots of space for our adult children and baby granddaughter. Everything was clean, well organized and it was in a great neighbourhood. We appreciated how easy it was to relax and spend time together. Our only small suggestion would be to add more comfortable seating in the front room to make it even more cozy. Overall it was a very positive experience.

Peaceful place in the city

We really enjoyed this rental. There are lots of walkable places nearby and its an easy drive to the entire city. I wish there were more soft seats in this home.

Overnight to see the lights

My spouse and I, our two adult children and their partners stayed overnight after seeing the lights in the Van Duesen botanical garden. The house was a wonderful home base, and we would stay there again.

Amazing Vancouver Neighborhood House

We had a great stay in this amazing Vancouver neighborhood house, which was centrally located and felt very safe for three women. The house has charming historic character and was spotless. We shopped at nearby Choice Natural Market and cooked some great dinners in the well-stocked kitchen. Downtown was an easy Uber ride away. A great find!

Perfect for our family of 7. Very clean. Kitchen well equipped. Safe feeling area and several restaurants in walking distance. Bedding was very comfortable and the house has lovely character. There was a lack of sofa chairs in the unit which would have added to the comfort, but the dining space was lovely. Thank you!

Three weeks in Vancouver

This house was just right for us. It is a good size and in a good location and the price was reasonable especially for a major city. It has parking. There are a couple of nearby restaurants and it is also walkable to a grocery store and pharmacies. We found it to be quiet, with comfortable beds and comforters. Good appliances and a nice big TV. Alice was nice to communicate with. We would stay there again.

Stressful and Waste of time

They double booked, sent a text 2 days before our stay. 6 of us travelling from all over the province had to scramble to find another place.

Dear Cheyenne, I'm truly sorry for the stress caused by the booking conflict. Due to a rare calendar sync error through Hosthub, your reservation was double-booked, and we had to notify you as soon as it was detected. I completely understand how upsetting this was — especially when coordinating travel for a group. That said, we want to clarify for future guests that, unfortunately, your group did not stay at the property. The rating reflects frustration with the booking issue, not the home or stay itself. I chose the Dunbar neighbourhood because it offers the perfect balance of peace, convenience, and natural beauty. It's one of Vancouver's most desirable residential areas, known for its tree-lined streets, friendly community, and family-oriented atmosphere.

One of my favourite things about Dunbar is how close it is to both nature and city amenities. Pacific Spirit Regional Park is just minutes away and offers beautiful trails for walking, jogging, and cycling. Jericho Beach, Spanish Banks, and other scenic waterfront areas are also nearby, making it easy to enjoy Vancouver's outdoor lifestyle.

At the same time, Dunbar has a wonderful selection of local cafés, restaurants, shops, and everyday conveniences. Whether you're grabbing a morning coffee, exploring the neighbourhood, or visiting nearby UBC, everything is easily accessible.

What I enjoy most is the relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. It's a quiet, safe neighbourhood where guests can unwind while still being close to downtown Vancouver, UBC, beaches, parks, and many of the city's top attractions.
