Welcome to Kensington Kabin by Pacific Properties MN! We are located in the heart of lakes country, just 15 minutes west of Alexandria, MN. Our lake home is conveniently accessed with just one turn off of Interstate 94 onto State Hwy 27.

Once here, you'll appreciate the comforts of a modern lake home with significant renovations made in 2023-2024. Bring the kids! The lower level caters to great family time with a home movie theater and a bedroom with four built-in bunks. They'll have lots of laughs playing games in the large backyard and swimming in the shallow waters.

Want to unwind? Enjoy a peaceful sunrise over the lake while sipping coffee on the large deck; or say goodnight after a fun-filled day with a cozy bonfire near the beach. Adults and kids alike will appreciate that Lake Oscar is large enough for your favorite water sports but quiet enough for some fantastic fishing. Truly a hidden gem!

Accuracy and transparency is important to us. Please be aware that the property does not have a washer/dryer or dishwasher and that the cabin is located on a state highway - traffic can be heard from the house.


Per Douglas County ordinances we are required to verify guest Name, Address, and Vehicle License Plate. You will be required to provide this information with valid ID and signed Rental Agreement within 48 hours of booking.

The cabin had everything we needed for a relaxing girl's weekend. The beds are very comfortable and the lake was great for fishing and kayaking. We loved the kitchen, especially the coffee bar! It was nice to have a movie night with the projector too. Would stay again!

We absolutely loved it here!!! The lake view was amazing… loved the bench on the dock - so peaceful. The house was very clean and spacious and had everything we needed. They even provided a bowl of coffee pods and creamer, which most places don’t do. So nice! We played yard games, did the kayak, played ping pong, built a little fire in the fire pit. Watched tv on the big screen. Communication with the owners was prompt and they were so friendly. Thanks for the great week!!

The hosts were very welcoming and made our check-in and check-out process easy! Appreciated the detailed communication. Accommodations were great for our family and friend weekend getaway. Our kiddos especially loved the movie viewing area and bunk room! Worked great for our winter fun adventures on the lake. I imagine summer would be even better!

Winter Family Getaway

Love the property. Great location close to 94. Amazing amenities. Our family of 12 had an awesome time playing games around the huge dining room table and having an epic ping pong tournament. Overall would highly recommend this property to others!

Good fit for 6 adults. We were in the area helping our kids move. Got about 9 inches of snow while we were there so we made good use of the movie room, games and ping pong table. Loved being able to see both a sunrise and sunset over the lakes.

It is exactly as advertised --was clean, well-appointed and delightful to be at the firepit in the evening. The best part was the owner -- Jeremy was an excellent communicator. There were some hiccups in our reservation due to my mistake -- and he was very accommodating and easy to work with. I would stay here again!

Girls weekend

We had a girls weekend and stayed here. VERY clean. Comfortable beds. Would definitely come back again. It was chilly when there so we didn't get spend time out on the deck or use the fire pit. Would definitely return.

Lovely, cozy vibe. Kids enjoyed the ping pong table, bunks and a variety of the other board games in addition to the massive movie theater room. Plenty of towels and spacious for the family & friends to gather. No dishwasher wasn't a deal breaker as the kitchen sink was large and plenty of space to drip-dry items. Water was nice and HOT. Host was fast to reply & easy to communicate with. Stayed right after season's first snowfall, so can imaging how beautiful it would b in the height of summer season! There were even swans on the lake!

We had a wonderful stay at this property with our large family, ranging in age from 18 months to 80 years old! The home was clean, beautifully updated, and had plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. The location couldn’t have been better—right on the lake with gorgeous views and easy access to the water.We especially loved using the kayaks and gathering around the fire pit in the evenings. It was the perfect setting for quality family time, and everyone—from the toddlers to the grandparents—had an amazing experience.A big thank you to Jeremy & Melody for being such great hosts. We’ll definitely be returning to this property for future family getaways!

Friends quality time

We all enjoyed this cabin on the lake. It was well-equipped. The kids loved the bunk room. Alot of space which worked well for our crew as room to play and visit but also well thought out for time together for meals and crafts. We will stay again if in the area. It did not matter to us, but for some it may, we did not have access to a washer/dryer and there is also no dishwasher. Again, we would stay given the location and other amenities in the house.

The house was perfect for our family - 11 people (toddlers - adults). Check-in was easy, and Jeremy responded quickly to all questions. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed to make our meals (nice pots/pans and utensils). The double oven was a bonus. The beds were comfortable. The kids loved the bunk beds. We enjoyed the large screen in the basement and comfy seating. We had a minor problem with the air conditioning not cooling the upstairs, but Jeremy had someone out right away to take care of it. We swam, fished, and enjoyed our 12 day stay!

We had a wonderful time at Kensington Kabin! Everything about our stay went smoothly -- logistics were a piece of cake thanks to clear communication with the host. The lake was so enjoyable, we loved swimming, canoeing, and just hanging out on the dock. We loved being outside on the lake and porch, then we spent a relaxing time in the open, clean, and welcoming kitchen and dining area. In the evening, we retired to the fantastic TV room. Wow, what a great space! Indoor highlights of our stay included the fun bunk beds and the awesome TV entertainment room.

Great cozy place! Lots of bedrooms and group spaces to relax throughout the house. The giant movie screen was a bonus during our rainy weekend. The giant kitchen table was perfect for games and puzzles. The hosts responded quickly to any questions.

Our lake home offers the unique experience of being on a clean, quiet lake in rural Minnesota. Less populated and less busy than most in the area, it's a fantastic lake for fishing and kayaking/canoeing to watch the loons. When you want to get the kids out on the water there's plenty of space to make some waves for skiing and tubing. Truly a "one size fits all" body of water!
