Wonderful Stay

Fall Weekend

This was our second year at the house and had an another wonderful weekend. The house is spacious for 3 families and it's a great property with lots of amenities. Convenient location as well, easy to get into town and surrounding attractions.

Beautiful Log Cabin

We had a wonderful weekend at Laura’s log cabin. The setting is peaceful and picturesque. The home is stunning, warm, comfy and inviting. The house had everything we needed and more! Laura was responsive to any questions we had before our trip. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and seeing deer. We would definitely stay here again!

Disappointed

While the location of this home was beautiful and the home itself was very pretty, upon arrival we found that there was a significant "flying ant" problem in the great room area. We were unable to enjoy this main room because there were dead insects all over the floor and while sitting on the couches we would find these bugs crawling on us. It was disgusting. We were also looking forward to using the hot tub mentioned in the description and there was no hot tub to be found. I sent a message to the owner to find out where the hot tub could be accessed and I was ignored. This property was absolutely not worth the price we paid given these issues.

Amazing!

Such a beautiful home, in a gorgeous setting! This was a perfect place for extended family to stay while in the Catskills to attend a wedding. Highly recommend!

Relaxing Holiday Weekend

We had a wonderful and relaxing Memorial Day weekend in Windham. The house was secluded, but still close to the downtown area of restaurants and shops. We enjoyed morning coffee on the deck with the direct view of the mountains and also our evenings out by the fire pit. The house was clean and comfortable and offered plenty of amenities. The online photos did not do it justice! We would definitely stay here again, maybe this time in the winter.

Winter Ski Break

Although we did not ski in Windham, we loved staying here. This is our fifth year in this lovely town and we are never disappointed. Our stay in this beautiful house was such a treat. So very comfortable/cozy and loved having pool table, tv, and foosball in the basement. Thank you Laura.

Excellent

We had a really wonderful time, it was a beautiful house and so perfect for a weekend get away with 3 families. We had several kids under 8, and 3 couples and it was a perfect size and layout to be totally more than comfortable. We didn’t have great weather, but the property when we were able to be outside was beautiful and it was very convenient to town. Would definitely rent again and highly recommend!

glorious property

The house itself it spacious and beautiful, very tastefully decorated. Because of the way it's set up and supplied, there's a lovely sense of welcome and hospitality. The landscape is glorious and there is a feeling of privacy -- no neighbors right nearby. We were there with small children and were pleasantly surprised to find buckets of toys and a very nice swing and slide set on the property. The kitchen was well-stocked. It really couldn't have been better. Laura, the owner, was very helpful and responsive.

Great Find!

We were looking to have a nice ski weekend before winter ran out. We saw this lovely home online and it was even better in person. Clean, new, such a cool log home. It's a beautiful property very close to Windham Mt. Whenever we had a question, the property owner/manager responded very promptly. Great family home, we highly recommend it.

Thanksgiving get away

My family and I spent Thanksgiving and had a wonderful stay. The basement was great entertainment for the teens and everyone enjoy the fire pit. Owner was excellent in communication and directions.

Rustic modern log home

We did enjoy our stay. More than enough room for our family of 6 adults, young child and baby. Property was very rustic, with wildlife surrounding us and a beautiful view of Hunter Mountain. Owner might want to consider addressing the ant problem as we had some additional guests dropping in unannounced.

Perfect house and location

Beautiful house. Well situated 5 min to Windham Mountain. Owner was very accommodating and responsive. Very clean, upscale home , great for a family ski vacation.

Great vacation house

We had a wonderful trip with our friends in this beautiful house. The owner is very nice and very responsive. The location is perfect and close to the ski site. The house is neat and has great Mountain View.

Fabulous week in beautiful Greene County

This is a beautiful property surrounded by nature. We were a group of eight (5 adults and 3 kids ages 7, 9, and 11). We found the cabin to be very clean and full of enjoyable amenities: from waking up each morning to breakfast on the deck with a view of the mountain, to s'mores at night by the fire pit, to playing on the jungle gym, to pool, ping pong and foosball inside when it rained. We highly recommend the property and would stay here again.

A Memorable Property with A Plus Amenities

First, our family recommends the home, amenities and properties as a 5 STAR experience! Location is fairly private with forested areas all around to our liking. The home is very expansive with 3 levels perfect for at least 3 families to have separate privacy. The garage allowed us to have a staging area to move in and move out as well as prepare for our daily activities. Inside the house, we experience a well designed space with accommodating, sizable bathrooms and bedrooms. The kitchen is very practical and perfect for cooking. The family room is spacious with good seating and wide side windows to enjoy the outside world. In the basement, we were very pleased with the available entertaining activities that included a foosball table, ping pong table, and pool table. Also the basement floor has a sofa sitting area with a TV for viewing. There is a big cache of children's toys, which were also a big hit for our kids! Outside, is a children's playset, a rope swing and big open area, and our children enjoyed these immensely. The driveway is very expansive allowing for parking for many vehicles. The front porch was great in the early morning hours to sit on the swing or rocking chairs and the side deck was perfect in the early evening to use the rustic table and chairs for eating or playing games. The firepit was also a big hit for our family as we sat out to very late hours just enjoying the nighttime experience and burning a fire. A very BIG plus with the property is the power generator. We experienced a Utility Company power outage that affected 12,000 patrons, including us around 6:30AM one day and the generator acted like a true warrior kicking in to preserve our power in the house while the Utility Company fixed the problem over the next 4 hours. An A PLUS! We can't say enough how grateful were were not to lose power when others suffered! The last reviewer commented that they had water problems. This was NOT the case for us. The owners acted responsibly to resolve the mechanical problem before our time at the house and informed us of the resolution prior to our visit. We had plenty of water. Our only recommendation is that the owners consider adding a small chest freezer to either their pantry or garage to allow for guests to store their frozen foods. Overall we had a fabulous time and would come back!
