Weekend Stay for a Wedding

The host was fantastic with communication. The only thing we wish we had was wifi and top sheets for the beds. It’s a simple but nice place to stay. We played mancula because there was no cable or streaming on the TV, but that was fine.

Great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely cabin! Easy proximity to downtown Pentwater and Silver Lake. The cabin was exceptionally clean and well-equipped with everything you need for your stay. The beds and couches were very comfortable, and I enjoyed the whimsical decorations. Kari was extremely responsive to any questions we had. I would definitely return to this cabin again. Thank you, Kari, for a lovely stay!

Clean, quiet, and comfy

We were just looking for a place to sleep during a large family gathering up the road. The cabin was comfy, well-maintained, and super convenient to the public lake access. Even during the busy 4th holiday, neighbors kept pleasant hours.

Perfect Relaxing Getaway

Everything was great from the responsiveness of the owner to the home itself. Took advantage of the fire pit, hammock, and walking trails in the backyard. Bringing our pup with us left limited dining options and we cooked most of our meals at home and the kitchen was equipped with all we needed. Did several day trips throughout the area, enjoyed the outdoor at the house at night. Sighted a herd of deer in the woods behind the house which was exciting for the dog. If you are fan of fried fresh fish try Bortells just north of Pentwater on Lakeshore Rd. This home was exactly what we were looking for. Although we didn’t use them, was surprised to see a canoe and all sorts of outdoor games for renters available. Would be great for families with kids too.

Near sights and sounds

Everything about this property was good for us, except the noise next door which is why we gave this an overall 4-star instead of 5-star rating. It was a holiday weekend so it appeared there was lots of family sharing around a campfire. Unfortunately their fun lasted until 11 or 11:30 at night long after we retired.

It’s a perfect location to hang out and have a great time

We had a ball. Spent a weekend there and enjoyed X-c skiing right out the back door! Also, Pentwater Parhway is right down the road and is absolutely gorgeous. So nice to curl up in front of the fireplace. The chalet has everything you need for a very fun vacation. Had the opportunity to meet the owner, Kari, and she’s a wealth of information about where to go and what to do. We’ll definitely be back! Would highly recommend this place.

We were in the area for a funeral of a dear loved one. It was so comforting to stay in a house rather than a motel. Thank you for taking our reservations on such short notice. The home is very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend.

Restful, relaxing, peaceful, comfortable

First time renting a cottage to stay for a vacation versus a hotel. Best decision I made! I was in much need of some R&R and that is exactly what I got. Kari was easy to reach out to when I had questions and quickly responded. She left fantastic details to help find beach access, things nearby I could visit/do, and cute little tags around the home to guide me to where I could find things. I am hoping to plan a girlfriends retreat next year in the area and hope to find this place again!

Eagles swoop overhead as you head out on Pentwater lake for a morning paddle. Deer step lightly through the forest while you sip a cup of java on the back patio. Baby owls practice taking flight at dusk. A quick sly fox jumps out in front of you as you walk down the sandy road into the pristine state game area. Sunset on the Channel Walk as friends and neighbors gather. Pentwater!

The great room with its classic 70's chalet style, original hand carved wood work and knotty pine ceiling is updated in bright white and crisp primary colors. What a fabulous backdrop to cherished family memories!
