Fabulous villa in a gorgeous location
We recently stayed at the Benvenuti Villa and cannot give it high enough praise. The villa has recently been renovated and the quality of the renovation is to a very high standard. The layout is great for a group of people with three bedrooms, and several sitting areas (two inside and one outside). The villa was extremely clean and well maintained. The vegetable garden is a great asset with the hosts encouraging you to pick any fresh vegetables and fruit you require. Little touches like complimentary bottles of Benvenuti wine and cakes and biscuits made by the owners mother were appreciated. The town of Kaldir only has about 70 people residing there so you feel like a part of the community with friendly locals always ready to wave and say hello. The villa is only a ten minute drive to Motovun and the hosts provide an extensive list of nearby restaurants. We used the villa as a base to explore the Istrian Region and found it very centrally located. Aside from the gorgeous villa, we found the hosts really made this holiday extra special. Albert gave us the grand tour of the villa, and we spent a wonderful afternoon doing a wine tasting on the property with Suzana and Nikola which was a highlight for us. Suzana rates a special mention as she went above and beyond the call of duty and was so lovely to deal with - a great asset to the family business.
We highly recommend staying in this villa.
