The Cattage - 17 Acres

The entire 17-acre property to yourself! Our serene spot deep in the woods provides endless nature to explore. Our old-fashioned rustic cabin is the perfect place to reconnect and recharge with family and friends. Relax and unwind with the whole family or just the two of you. Our comfy beds and large hot tub will give you the recharge you need. Just bring your slippers!

King, queen, 2 sets of bunks and 2 pullouts. Hot tub, trails, bird watching, fire pit, tube TV (plays VHS’, Nintendo), books, board games, yard games, wood burning stove.


We have 2 portable air conditioners that work great.


We can accommodate up to 10-12 guests ($50/night/guests over 8) with our 2 full/double sized pull out couches but it’s cozy. Please see room descriptions and photos for details.


Extra dark outside in the evening for star gazing and catching northern lights. Lots of deer, moose, birds, owls and other animals visit us often.


20 min to Sherwood Park, 40 min to downtown Edmonton.


We have a long and narrow winding road/driveway. Also, depending on the weather there can be large puddles on the driveway.


We live 30 minutes away but we are available for you anytime.


There are groceries close by! However if you need to do full groceries it’s best to go to Sherwood park Walmart/Superstore/Saveon/Sobeys 25 mins away.


If you just need a few things:

Country Mercantile store/liquor store (very small selection) 6 mins away, 

Country Boyz (larger selection) 11 mins away.

Dogs only. Dog must be fully house trained. Lots of coyotes in the area.


Our property has a direct path to the "lake". We have had very dry years where there appears to almost be no lake at all. The middle of the "lake" is not deep enough for swimming or kayaking. Half Moon beach resort for swimming and kayaking is a 6 min drive away. Lake Islet is also a good (and free) choice for kayaking. Keep in mind these are Alberta lakes.


We have everything you need including firewood, fire pit, fire sticks, and chairs! We have a propane BBQ with propane.


Cellphone coverage is very limited and cuts in and out. Best service is on the front step. Wifi works great (we leave it up to you if you want to tell the kids). Tube TV/ VCR for provided movies (popcorn and air popper is in the cabinet top shelf).


There are two outdoor cameras, one at the front entrance of the cabin and one at the side entrance.

We had a bachelorette party at The Cattage. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! The cabin and it's amenities were exactly what we needed and the hosts were amazing. I highly recommend staying here. We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen is well equipped. The hot tub was a hit!

The Cattage was amazing place to stay. Stepping into the cabin and seeing all the designs and decor that reminded us all so fondly of our childhoods. The VHS player was great and we watched Footloose while getting ready for the day. The location was easy to find and the instructions were clear. The clean up list was also very achievable which made the stay even better.

Great fun for family

There are alot of well thought out activities for all ages from hot tub to board games and old school vhs movies and a NES. Great vibe to teach your kids about how to have fun from a bygone era!

Great Family Get Away

Took her family for our summer vacation for a week at the Cattage. It was clean spacious had everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Host was very kind. 10 out of 10 would stay again Yeah. Beautiful property, sat in hot tub every morning.

Family christmas

Property is very quiet and well treed. Cabin was amazing kidshas literally everything you would need for tour stay. Old movies and Nintendo where great to see agan. Will for sure be back.

cattage cabin

this is a very beautiful place, if you are thinking of going do not think just book it and go. The cabin has everything you could possible want all you need is your suitcase and food for as long as you are staying, keep in mind Sherwood Park is only a 20-30 minute drive if you need to get supplies. We had a very relaxing and peaceful time, would go back there in a heart beat.

Great place!

The cattage was a great spot to celebrate our friend getting married. They had everything you need in the kitchen and the old TV with a huge VHS collection and an original nintendo system was the cherry on top. The only concern was the host did take a few days to respond to a request but when they did respond they were very kind!

2nd time visiting the cattage

Nice relaxing time for the adults other than lacing up skates for the kids. Weather was great for having a fire, relaxing in the hot tub and skating of course. Quick response from the manager with questions about the property. Will be booking again in the future for the 3rd visit.

Relaxing time for boardgames

Really nice cabin that allowed a lot of natural light in and giving cozy vibes~~ Would recommend this place to anyone trying to reach for that vibe! I also would like to mention that the host was super nice to us and quick when we had any questions or issues. Thanks again for letting us stay! : D

The perfect mix of nostalgia and modern.

One of the best properties I’ve ever stayed at. Very secluded but only 30 mins from the city. Modern appliances and very comfy beds. The hosts were extremely hospitable and showed genuine interest in making this trip memorable. At one point we ran out of propane and they delivered a new tank. We were looking forward to a fire in the outside pit. Water had gathered there as the snow was melting and the host brought a portable fire pit to the property so we could enjoy a fire in a dryer area. I will absolutely be back. Just an amazing experience!

loved It!

The property is a super place to relax and unwind. It's warm, welcoming and well stocked. The kitchen is the best stocked we've ever seen! The Christmas decorations were a nice touch too. We were on the hunt for some aurora, but unfortunately had cloudy conditions so weren't able to see it. However, it's definitely dark enough had the weather cooperated. Really appreciate the property being dog friendly. The bed was really comfortable (king room). The outdoor lighting was so cool. Both Christmas lights and twinkle lights around the walking paths and the skating pond (yes there's a skating rink!). So unique! Check-in was a snap! Communication with the host great. Checkout was simple as well. Would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect for the family.

Excellent place for a family get away. 40 mins to WEM. 5 Minutes from gas and small selection of groceries. Still feels as though your hundred miles away civilization.
