This was an adorable property and surprisingly spacious. The apartment was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the towels were fluffy and soft. We appreciated the in apartment laundry too. The hosts provided many extras that made us feel welcome. They were very accommodating and responsive to all our needs, especially considering our flight was delayed and we had an extremely late check-in. They have a great back yard for relaxing and the location is amazing. It's a short walk to the beach, boardwalk, bike rentals, restaurants, shops and the LIRR. Unfortunately our trip was during a Nor'easter so we didn't spend as much time on the beach as we wanted but we still had an amazing stay. Great place!

Apartment was clean and spacious. Especially liked that we had use of the driveway for our stay for parking. A great touch was the fully stocked coffee. A great experience.

Annual Stay at the Beach House

My friend and I book with Bruce one a year and absolutely love staying here! It’s clean, close to the beach. Beach passes, beach chairs and towels are all provided. Very easy to contact him if needed. And they even left us a plate of fresh baked cookies! This apartment has everything you’ll need and is close to local restaurants and bars. The back patio is beautiful and private. Off street parking is also provided. Can’t wait to see you next year!

The property is infested with crickets and jumping spiders. Two jumped out of the fridge. The a/c filters were filthy and had dead bugs. It is a basement apartment which was not disclosed. Musty smell and a strange odor in the master bedroom. There is peeling and chipping paint along the pipe near the master bed. While it appeared clean, the furniture was dusty. I left within 12 hours and texted the owner withon two hours of arrival of the bugs. The owner at first wanted me to reimburse me 1/3 of what i paid then only came up 150 which prompted a call to vrbo and thankfully the company did the right thing. The owner stated it is common to have crickets in the home during hot muggy days which is very untrue. I have family and friends in Long Beach who just dont live with bugs (a rogue spider notwithstanding). The fact that he would not negotiate higher was mind boggling but again, vrbo came through. I am a tough girl but there was no way I or anyone I know could stay there and accept living with bugs and that smell and peeling paint. Also, it should be disclosed that this is a basement apartment. There is a photo of some stairs going down but there is another of steps going up from the outside leading me to believe it was a ground floor unit or maybe one or two steps down. I will repeat, the owner would not budge and i offered to be out the vrbo fees but he said no which is just wrong.

Really nice place to stay near the Beach

Nice basement apartment. Air conditioning, plenty of space and very convenient to the beach. Only thing stopping an excellent rating is the usual Long Beach issue of keeping sand from the beach off of the floor but the place is nice and clean.This was our second year here and we would come back without question.

A mixed review

the neighborhood is lovely with off street parking. The owners were pleasant and helpful. However the apt had much to be desired My biggest disappointment was lack of stove top While owner didnt specify that there was a stove nor did he specify the lack of one To me, its not a true apt without a stove. Microwave with convection often isnt good enough imho Other issues include ceilings that were too low for comfort- at most 6 ft tall if not 5'10". Exposed pipes at ceiling were painted but peeling. Despite these issues, we had a pleasant time

Perfect beach location

A block to the beach a few blocks to nightlife perfection! Hosts were super nice and friendly. If you are looking for an ideal location close to everything then look no further!

Perfect for beach & visiting NYC

The apartment is clean, lovely, comfortable and the perfect location. It included everything we needed. And, the cookies were welcome and quite delicious. Check in and out was easy. We appreciated being able to park in the drive, so no concerns about finding a spot. We would spend time at the beach (about a block away) in the morning and evening. Late morning we'd walk to the train station and take the train into the city. The neighborhood was beautiful and it felt very safe. The owner was friendly and quickly responded to all of our messages. We visit NY two, or three, times a year and this will absolutely be our go to spot to stay. It really was the perfect experience. Thank you Bruce and Tamar for sharing your home with us.

Great Place for a family of four!

The apartment is the perfect location (near beach and a short walk to LIRR as well as a short drive from JFK airport) Bruce is great, you also get use of the driveway, plenty of towels and coffee pods, washer/dryer, very clean place to stay, nothing missing that you would want or need!

Fun at the Beach

Bruce greeted us and showed us around the apartment as soon as we arrived. Tamar made homemade cookies for us. The apartment was very nice, they thought of everything you would need. Bruce even left a container of milk for us. It is close to the beach and restaurants are within walking distance. We'd request a stay again.

Couldn't believe how close to the beach this apartment is. We had an enjoyable stay even though the steps going down to the apartment were difficult for my husband because of his depth perception. No fault of the owners..Very private and beautiful patio also

Comfortable and Convenient

This is a very nice semi-basement apartment. Plenty of room, although low ceilings. Clean, all the amentities including a kitchen with off street parking close to the beach. We enjoyed our stay and our hosts were friendly, out of the way and accomodating.

Wonderful Stay Close to the Beach

My family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this property. Bruce and Tamar were communicative, clear, and helpful and everything went smoothly. The basement apartment is centrally located and a short walk to the beach/boardwalk as well as great shops and restaurants. We had everything we needed for an excellent weekend by the beach. Highly recommend!

Outstandinf Stay! 5 Stars!!!

Bruce and Tamar are AMAZING hosts and very nice people! Me and other family members stayed for a week in the apartment and we were greeted with wine and homemade cookies for the Thanksgiving holiday. Bruce went over and above to make our stay comfortable and easy. Tamar is wonderful and provided fresh towels and sheets throughout the stay for our convenience. Highly reco

Great experience

This is a great property and the hosts are super responsive and so nice. The apt. Is exactly as described, very clean. We appreciated the coffee/milk and kitchen items and toiletries in the bathroom. There were plenty of towels and even laundry detergent next to the washer and dryer. We snacked on the homemade cookies and Tamar met us and gave us a tour when we arrived. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance and we felt safe walking at night. The house is only a block from the beach and right in the middle of Long Beach. Awesome place!!

Great stay in Long Beach

The location is perfect - Bruce was there to greet me and show me the unit when I arrived and his wife baked cookies! The place was perfect and well stocked.
