This little house in the town of South Lake Tahoe provides wonderful accommodation for a family of up to 10 people or more and is a great value. There is a spacious great room with a large dining table and chairs, also couches that could accommodate a mess of children. The two upstairs bedrooms each have two beds. The master downstairs has a queen bed and large bureau and room to hang clothes. There is a large capacity washer-drawer in a somewhat cluttered room off the kitchen.
The main residence is just the sort of rustic cabin decor you imagine a house in Tahoe should be including an easy to use gas log fireplace. The property backs up to a public greenbelt where people walk their dogs and kids go to play in the creek and swim. On a summer night it's a treat to sit out in the meadow and watch the sunlight turn the high ridgeline of nearby Heavenly Ski Resort golden, then gaze at stars. My stay was in July. I have not stayed in the winter, but it seems it would be fine for a wintertime ski vacation. Only about 10 minutes away from Heavenly.
The only minor criticisms -- the kitchen is functional but dated with minimal counter space and there is no dishwasher. Owners, please de-clutter the kitchen drawers of about two-thirds of the utensils, less is more in that regard. Pots and pans are plentiful enough, but past their prime. Also, there is only one shower, so a larger group of adults will have to schedule bathroom time. Also the laundry room shelves are jam-crammed with stuff of no use to guests. Suggest clearing that out to a place guests would not be using. One last thing, an umbrella or two in the backyard would make it more comfortable, and consider getting rid of, or repairing, the broken patio furniture.
