We were in Rome for a destination wedding at a nearby villa, but needed additional accommodations. This home was perfect for us - very comfortable, easy to get around on the South side of Rome (we were originally worried about driving in Rome - but this is not a problem being away from the city center). Very nice family to meet us and show us around. Not great for young children with the stairs - but fine for adults and older kids/teens!

Country house near rome

We enjoyed the beautiful home, modern farm house, large dining room and combined living room fit our large group of 9. I would say no young kids due to lack of stair rail to upper floor (unless yiu are used to open stairs with no railings on one side. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked with cookware. Easy access to metro or beaches, Ancient city of Ostia. Hosts were very helpful, and had good restaurant recommendations. Also new Maximus mall just a couple km away. We would love to come back again ( maybe in a cooler month).

Con la famiglia abbiamo passato un felice capodanno in questa bella sistemazione, una buona posizione per spostarsi verso la città ma anche per godersi un po’ di tranquillità (abbiamo sentito spesso la voglia di rimanere in casa tanto era accogliente!). Grazie al sig. Leoni per tutte le premure che ci ha dimostrato prima, durante e dopo la permanenza in loco. Sicuramente approfitterò in occasione di una prossima vacanza romana.

Fantastic property in a great loacation

We loved our stay at Casalfattoria. It is a stunning property and is very much equipped as a home from home. An easy drive to Laurentina metro station (where we always found free parking) and then a simple metro ride to all of Rome's considerable delights. The property also has easy parking and is situated in large communal gardens which gives a lovely setting. Certainly a recommended destination if you want to spend time in the centre of Rome but would prefer to be out of the hussle and bussle at the end of the day to enjoy a relaxing, quiet evening. Stefano and his brother Gabriele were perfect hosts and thankfully speak wonderful English as our Italian is very much lacking! Ciao and grazie molto

Gute Lage. Tolle Vermieter.

Schöne Lage. Man bewohnt das erste und zweite Stockwerk eines Hauses eines ehemaligen Bauernhof-Ensembles. Sehr schön renoviert. Im Garten lÀdt der Schatten von BÀumen oder auch ein Tisch mit mehreren StÃŒhlen zum draußen Verweilen ein.

Tout d abord merci à Stefano pour son accueil chaleureux, sa disponibilité, ses conseils précieux. L appartement est trÚs agréable, confortable, joliment décoré. L emplacement est idéal pour visiter Rome et ses alentours, il vaut mieux tout de même avoir une voiture, la station de métro la plus proche se trouve à environ 5/10 min.on accÚde également facilement aux commerces. Le jardin est équipé de structures de jeux pour les enfants. Je recommande cette location pour les familles ou entre amis.

Amazing home in Rome

The home exceeded our expectations...better than the photos. The train station was an easy drive. All of Rome was within 45 minutes and we could return to a serene setting for the evening. Stefano and his brother were very helpful and accessible. We would definitely stay there again

We had a great time at Casalfattoria. It had plenty of beds and places to crash after walking around Rome all day. I appreciated the bathtub to use for the kids. Everything was pretty clean and ready for us when we got there. I would recommend that the owner do a deep cleaning though as I noticed dirt around the sinks and light switches and toilet buttons. Everything else was very tidy. We only had a couple of questions/issues and they were dealt with very quickly. We didn't realize that it is on the second floor and there is another flight of stairs inside too. This made it a little difficult for Grandma, but we made it. No railing on the inside stairs was a bit concerning for the little one, but he never fell so yeah. The showers were very, very small for us Americans. A shelf in the shower would have been very helpful so that you don't have to keep picking up your soap off the floor. But we made do. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and utensils. My father-in-law was very happy you had a normal coffee pot, not just an italian one. :D Thank you for the groceries too. The grounds and surrounding were so peaceful and quiet. I wish we could have enjoyed them more. The kids liked playing on the playground. I would definitely recommend this apartment for larger groups, especially if you have kids. We didn't really check out any restaurants close by. We always ate in Rome. We loved all the poppies growing along the lane to the compound.

Sehr schöne Wohnung, nahe bei Rom und doch in Natur und Ruhe

Die Wohnung befindet sich im ersten Stock eines Hauses, das zusammen mit einigen anderen HÀusern, einst ein Bauernhof war. Die HÀuser wurden von einer Gruppe von Freunden renoviert und werden zum Großteil permanent bewohnt. Zu jeder Wohnung gehört ein Bereich im weitlÀufigen Garten der auch Gelegenheit zum Kicken und Spielen im Freien fÃŒr Kinder bietet. Die Wohnung war bei unserer Ankunft sehr sauber, ist modern und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, die KÃŒche sehr umfangreich ausgestattet. Zwei TVs, WLAN und ein fÃŒr lokale GesprÀche kostenloses Tel sorgen fÃŒr Verbindung mit der Welt. Insgesamt entspricht die Wohnung der Beschreibung, ist sauber und in ruhiger Lage. Es erscheint fast unwirklich dass man so nahe am Zentrum Roms eine solche Oase der Ruhe antreffen kann. Um ins Zentrum von Rom zu kommen bietet sich eine Fahrt zur nÀchstgelegenen Metrostation, Laurentina, an, dort Parken fÃŒr 1,5 € pro Tag und rein in die Stadt mit der Metro. Nicht weit entfernt vom Haus gibt es auch einen Bus zur Metrostation falls keine Auto verfÃŒgbar ist. Wir wurden vom Vermieter und seinem Bruder sehr, sehr freundlich empfangen, beides sehr feine Leute, die uns sofort ein GefÃŒhl des Willkommenseins vermittelt haben, alles erklÀrt und UnterstÃŒtzung in jedweder Form angeboten haben. Wir waren vorwiegend zu viert, teilweise auch zu fÃŒnft in der Wohnung, sechs Personen könnten problemlos, ohne zu eng aufeinander zu sitzen, dort Urlaub verbringen. BegÃŒnstigt wird dies auch durch die zwei BÀder, beide mit Dusche, eines zusÀtzlich mit Wanne. Wir können diese Wohnung vorbehaltlos empfehlen und wÃŒrden sie jederzeit wieder mieten. G. Fischer / A. Lovely place to stay near Rome

We stayed here with our two children (4 and 8) for a week in the summer. The apartment is beautifully appointed and decorated with two sitting rooms and a well equipped kitchen. It was clean and bright with mosquito nets on the windows and effective air conditioning. Although it's on the first floor, the garden is safe and enclosed, so we were happy to let the children play outside while we were in the flat. We all enjoyed the lovely garden after a day sightseeing in Rome. Although there are a couple of other flats and houses in the complex, the garden is cleverly laid out with plenty of trees and shrubs so that you can sit there peacefully and privately. There are playthings for the kids, and cats and donkeys for them to make friends with. It feels as if you're in the middle of the countryside despite being so near Rome. It's best to have a car to drive to the Metro station - it's a 10 minute drive and you can park for free on the road beside the station. Then it's a short tube ride into the centre of Rome. You can also drive in 10 minutes or so to the EUR area - the park there has a boating lake and good ice cream shop. The owners are not on site, but they live in Rome and are really friendly and helpful if you need anything in advance or while you are there.

super Wohnung in einer sehr tollen Lage!!!

Diese Wohnung hat uns allen (8 Personen) sehr gut gefallen! Zwar waren wir am Anfang kurz irritiert, da die Wohnung auf den Bildern etwas größer wirkte, aber das war alles kein Problem! Unsere Kinder hatten genÃŒgend Platz zum spielen und auch beim essen hatte jeder ein Platz gefunden und wir fÃŒhlten uns so richtig wohl! Die KÃŒche war modern und sehr gut eingerichtet! Die Schlafzimmer boten viel Platz und auch die Galerie bot trotz der Betten viel Raum zum spielen und zum lesen! Es war alles da, was man brauchte! Auch waren die Vermieter sehr, sehr hilfsbereit und super freundlich! Sie antworteten stets schnell auf alle emails und auch vor Ort hatten sie stets ein offenes Ohr fÃŒr uns! Die Lage ist bombastisch, etwas ausserhalb von Rom auf einem HÃŒgel mit einer tollen Aussicht, der Park&Ride Parkplatz und die nÀchsten SupermÀrkte sind gut mit dem Auto erreichbar sowie auch die Autobahn! Wir werden ganz sicher wieder hierher kommen und können die Wohnung daher nur wÀrmsten empfehlen! Mit dieser Wohnung macht man definitiv nichts verkehrt und verbringt einen traumhaften Urlaub!!

non conforme à la desciption d'Abritel que ce soit au niveau du confort ou de la propreté. je ne peux donner tous les détails il y en a trop !!! poubelles et materiel de nettoyage en vrac dans l'entrée, manque bcp de vaisselle, seulement deux verres à pied identiques, pas de saladier....baignoire inaccessible à cause des poutres...literie ....mediocre (draps non repassés !!) etc etc....heureusement il y avait le jardin pour le chien !!!

Beautiful home

This home is lovely, what we would call a townhouse in America. The grounds are beautiful, nice outdoor patio area, very serene. The apartment is on the second floor (American). Fantastic kitchen, very sleek and modern, with every necessity; one bathroom on this level; living/dining room space with large table, comfortable couch, very cool fireplace, flatscreen tv. The upper floor is magical, one bedroom with two twin beds, one large master bedroom, a large bathroom with tub, and an open living space in the middle of the rooms with plenty of seating. My husband and I slept on one of the fold down beds in the open room and let the kids have their own rooms -- hands down, sleep better here for our four nights than anywhere else on the road. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were fantastic. We loved these accommodations. As indicated in the description, this is outside the city. With a car, no problem at all. We used public transportation, but with the kindness of a couple of strangers, managed to figure out the metro/bus quickly. we were with our kids and knew we would 't be staying out late, actually looked forward to dinner in our own place at the end of the day. There is a local pizzeria in the neighborhood -- a nicer staff you will not find. We ate there twice and enjoyed getting to know the people who worked there. Beyond this, Gabriele, the owner'so brother, could not have been kinder. We had a snafu with train tickets (train went on strike) and Gabriele spent a great deal of time with my husband, helping us fill out forms on Italian website. Perfect Location Outside of Rome

This home was a perfect location outside of the chaos that is Rome. Each day we drove the 10 minutes to the train station and were in Rome within an easy 30 minutes. Stefano was super about communication via email, his brother who checked us in was fantastic! He walked us around this gorgeous property, showed us where things were, even showed me how to do a load of laundry! 6 of us stayed there including 2 teenage boys. This location allowed us the hustle and bustle of Rome with the quiet nights of the country. The complex has a few homes and we were on the 2nd floor of one of these renovated farm houses. The neighbors were lovely and even helped me add minutes to our phone in Italian. We were minutes to a grocery store, the main train line, bank, pharmacy, and more. Parking was super easy, but note that you will be carrying luggage from the parking lot and up a flight of stairs. I would most definitely recommend this home to folks heading to Rome for sightseeing. It was so easy and the wifi worked! Note for sightseers: Make your reservations for the Vatican ahead of time. By doing this we were able to pass over 1,000 people waiting in line! Get to the Pantheon first thing in the morning and Saint Peter's first thing in the morning on another day, by 9 am the line for security was over a 2 hour wait. We loved Rome and this property was a perfect fit!

Excellent property!!

Our family of 5 greatly enjoyed our stay at this home. It was our first time in Rome, and the owner and his brother did an excellent job of making us feel welcome by suggesting eateries close by and even helping us by showing us where the grocery store and bank were in location to the property. The house itself is beautiful and very spacious with everything one could need for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed the fresh air and the country-like atmosphere the home offered. We would recommend renting a car; we didn't and we had to do some extra planning to reach our destination. We would love to come back soon to visit Rome again and would definitely stay in this property again. Thank you Stefano for an excellent stay!

Fantastic location and value for money!

Stefano and his brother were very helpful and showed places around (where to eat and shop etc.). The location is great ( take bus to metro and go into Rome within 20 min.). Great for families. Our kids loved the cats and the playground / gardens. The house was very clean, spacious and comfortable! We highly recommend this place for families and couples. We would love to come back in the future! Thank you very much, Vince, Lou and bambinos.

TRES AGREABLE

Nous sommes 2 couples d'amis qui voyageons souvent ensemble et nous avons beaucoup apprécié cette location. C'est trÚs agréable de se retrouver au calme aprÚs une journée passée dans Rome. L'appartement est superbe, confortable et trÚs bien équipé. De plus, Stefano et son frÚre Gabriele sont tous les 2 trÚs accueillants, d'une grande gentillesse et ont tout fait pour que tout se passe pour le mieux. Nous ne sommes restés que 3 jours, donc nous reviendrons visiter Rome et ce sera ici sans aucun doute.

Unforgettable experience!

Me and my family had an amazing experience in this house. It was our first time in Rome, and we enjoyed it very much. The house is located in a relatively distant region of Rome, but it is really easy to get on the city center. It is a very quiet place, with beautiful nature around. I especially recommend it for people who enjoy a peaceful stay in big cities.

Merveilleux séjour a Rome,excellente location a casalfattoria

Avons passés 5 jours a Rome et notre location a Casalfattoria était superbe.Pas besoin de prendre la voiture,il y a le bus a 5mn a pied qui nous emmenes a la station de metro Laurentina.Le soir trÚs agréable de se retrouver un peu a la campagne loin du tumulte de la ville.Appartement trÚs agréable,trés bien equipée,et magnifiquement rénové.Nous le recommandons sans problÚme et reviendrons avec grand plaisir.Supermarché et quelques commerces a 5 mn en voiture.Merci a Gabriel pour sa gentillesse.

Super Séjour!!

Excellent séjour sur Rome. L'appartement est trÚs spacieux et confortable. Sa situation est idéale: proche des accÚs tout en étant au calme! Les conseils de Stéfano et de son frÚre Gabriel sont précieux pour passer un séjour trÚs agréable dans la cité romaine. Nous avons trouvé notre séjour un peu court (3 jours), alors nous reviendrons à cette adresse et la recommanderons à nos amis.

TrÚs bonne adresse.

Appartement vaste et confortable sur deux étages tout à fait conforme au descriptif. Résidence extrêmement calme dans la verdure, sur une butte, a deux pas du périphérique romain. Avec un peu d'organisation la tête de ligne du métro B Laurentina est rapidement joignable, ensuite une dizaine de stations pour le centre de Rome. TrÚs bonne adresse.

Countryside Living in Rome!

Casalfattoria was the perfect location - just 5 minutes drive from the Metro and 2 minutes to the GRA which meant that we could enjoy the city without worrying about parking and have easy access to the Province of Roma. The apartment has been beautifully renovated so that it is modern but retains some of its yesteryear charm. Stefano and Gabrielle were really friendly and helpful. The apartment is very well equipped and there are restaurants and supermarkets 2 minutes drive away. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and stay here again.

Wonderful time in Rome staying at Casalfattoria

We are family of 4 from CT, USA with 2 teenagers. We had a wonderful time at Casalfattoria in early August 2014. The apartment is exactly as advertised - very roomy in 2 stories and comfortable with wifi, aircondition - important in August ! - and a working kitchen. The location is perfect with 5 minutes drive to Laurentina Metro station (15-20 min to Colosseo station) - ans by the Rome beltway 15 min from the airport and easy access to highways going to Naples and Florence. We had originally planned to eat out a lot but ended up liking the apartment so much so that we just got some hoigh quality produce, wine, cheese, pasta etc and dining "at home" after a long day of sightseing. The owner Stefano and Gabriele are in a class for themselves - almost making you feel more like family than visitor. We can warmly recommend Casalfattoria - particularly to families of 4-5 considering 2 hotel rooms in Rome - to us this was so much better ....

I'm Roman, I always lived in Rome, and I wouldn't buy, restore and furnish this apartment as a holiday rental, but to live in... unfortunately the kids' mother preferred being closer to mom, so I use it since the beginning for weekends, children parties and hosting friends!
