Weekend getaway

We absolutely loved our stay!!! Ocean views were incredible, access to all pools and resort activities, fully stocked kitchen and laundry room, the rooms were large comfortable clean. We had the best time and would definitely consider coming back with another group. Thank you so much!!

Great property

We had 8 adults and 6 kids for a family vacation and it was a wonderful experience! I would recommend discussing with the property manager how amenities with the hotel differ when using vrbo (specifically hotel cleaning as an amenity). But the owner was responsive and helpful and understanding. Would go again!

Fabulous!

Beth was an incredible host - very responsive and detailed with initial questions before and after booking and during our stay. Once we were there on vacation, I also found her answers to be honest and accurate. The property is comfortable, close proximity to resort, amazing views of the water - every room has a view and access to the fresh pacific air. Rooms were spacious, bathrooms were huge (each had a very large soaker tub and sizable shower.) Vanity included extra towels and hair dryer. Plenty of counter space. Surprisingly, the bedrooms themselves were kind of soundproof. It was quiet while sleeping vs in a hotel where you can hear doors slamming constantly! There was good separation between the rooms, so it was wonderful for multiple age groups to be around each other. The living space was very nice as well - so nice to have the laundry in unit! The staff at the resort were amazing - kind, attentive and knowledgeable. Close by are: Walking trails, water access, playgrounds, pool, spa, grocery stores a Starbucks and reasonably priced restaurants. Only negatives would be: Initially it was confusing on what resort amenities were included and what was an additional fee, but Beth did explain it beforehand and we figured it out while there. Knives were dull in one of the kitchens, so they need to be sharpened or you may want to buy your own. On-resort food prices were a little bananas, but expected.

Dream getaway

My family of 12 booked both of the casitas to celebrate my 60th birthday. The units are beautiful and layout ideal for a large family offering togetherness but privacy. Every amenity is available and the convenience of either eating in or in one of the many resort restaurants is great. The entire family agreed that this was by far one of the best vacations with the comfort of a home but benefits of a resort. We definitely look forward to another visit.

Beautiful and spacious!

You can’t go wrong with Terranea Resort! The views are amazing and the weather is perfect. The casitas were clean, spacious, and allowed everyone to have their own bathroom and privacy too. We enjoyed watching the sun set on the large balconies. Loved it!

Family Reunion Fun

These 2 casitas were the perfect place to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. The location is very convenient to all of Terrenea's facilities. I appreciated that there were reserved parking spots right outside the casitas. It was the best of both worlds of being at a luxury resort with all of the comfort and convenience of a home. I plan on reserving this every year if I can!

Great Place for Family

I reserved this property for my family and me to stay for my wedding weekend. The units are amazing and in a fabulous location. The owner is amazing, quick to respond and very helpful. We had a blast and everyone raved about the units.

Wonderful Thanksgiving Getaway

The property is located in wonderful resort with amazing views and vistas. The unit was clean and spacious providing plenty of room for our two families. It was also very conveniently located to the pools and main hotel/restaurant area. Would definitely return and stay at this property again.

Family Time

We have stayed in this lovely casita previously & at the resort several times. The casita is comfortable and spacious & as we rent 2 of them perfect for our large family. The pandemic has left the resort short staffed but with multiple pools, walking trails, and the view of Catalina Island we had a wonderful stay.

Perfect Spot

The casitas are amazing and conveniently located near all the hotel amenities. Everyone had plenty of space to enjoy a little quiet time as well as appetizers and wine together. I highly recommend using Beth and visiting Terranea. I'm looking forward to coming back!

Truly, a world class resort.

Views were spectacular! Housekeeping services were fantastic. Service throughout the resort was just ok. Not overly friendly or welcoming. Very slow to bring food and drinks in the pool areas and restaurants. The executive golf course was beautiful and challenging. The overall resort is incredibly beautiful.

Awesome Family Staycation

The casita and resort property were spectacular. Through VRBO, we rented several casitas for a family reunion. All ages, 3-77, had a fantastic time including walking over to play a round of golf, stroll through the beautiful property or relaxing at the pool. They even have a pool just for adults for an extra special treat. After fun filled days, we were able to go back to the casita, cook dinner and relax watching the beautiful sunsets. In the morning having coffee on the cliff watching the dolphins play is priceless. The layout and size of the rooms in the casitas allow for family to be together and yet have enough space for quiet time. We will definitely go back. Another added bonus was working with the management company who helped make the staycation planning easy. I recommend this experience to everyone.

Family Reunion

Our daughter's wedding took place at a local church & because we had family attending from all over the world, we wanted to stay somewhere special. Boy; weren't we glad we chose to stay here! The location was perfect, casitas were beautifully decorated & being able to prepare for the wedding surrounded by family in such a wonderful setting, was the icing on top of the cake! The owner went above & beyond by having a bottle of champagne chilling in the refrigerator. Now that's what I call Customer Service! Hands down this was the best place we have ever stayed & would recommend it in a heartbeat!

Perfect Arrangement

We rented adjoining casitas for our family for a week and the set-up was perfect. Our daughter and her family of 5 and a guest stayed in one casita and we stayed in the other, each family having just the right combination of privacy and community. The location was conveniently close to the main resort, and the views of the ocean spectacular. The accommodation was in prime condition, and had everything we needed. The owners were most helpful and prompt in answering our questions and requests, answering us even when they were on vacation in Germany. Teranea is a wonderful resort, and we took advantage of many of its features which this rental gave us aces to. We would rent this property again should a similar situation develop.

Great Place for a Family

We rented both 3 bedroom casitas for 5 nights before we went into LA for our daughter's wedding. We had a total of 10 people there. These are in an excellent location- amazing view, short walk to the pool, very nice inside. The units aren't directly connected but you just walk down a private, outdoor hallway to go between them. We hired a chef through kitchensurfing.com to come in 3 different times. We hung out in one unit while he cooked in the other unit. It was a great place to stay. This resort is the type you come to and never leave. There is the pool, cove beach, an nature center where they watch whales (we saw LOTS of whale and dolphins right from our deck), etc. Nelson's restaurant was fantastic. We hope to come back.
