Tropicana Bungalow - Retro Gem Near Fort Gregg-Adams and Old Towne

Bright. Retro. Unapologetically fun. Our Palm Beach-inspired bungalow is the kind of place that makes you want to mix a drink, throw on some music, and forget your to-do list — at least for a few days.
Whether you're visiting a loved one at nearby Fort Gregg-Adams, exploring the history and hidden gems of Old Towne Petersburg, or using us as a stylish home base for a Richmond weekend, the Tropicana is ready for you.

The bedroom features a comfortable queen bed with crisp cozy bedding, dedicated work space (if you must!) and en suite bath with stall shower — your own private retreat after a full day out. The living room offers flexible sleeping with a fold-down futon. We also provide an air mattress and pack 'n play if needed.
Step outside to the front porch for your morning coffee or evening cocktail. Backyard (partially fenced) is convenient for those traveling with pups. We're a small property with big personality!

-10 minutes to Fort Gregg-Adams
-Less than a mile from Old Towne Petersburg — antique shops, Civil War history, the Appomattox River Trail, and some seriously good food and coffee
-30 minutes to Richmond for day trips to the VMFA, Belle Isle, The National, and more

-Sleeps up to 4 (queen bed + futon + air mattress)
-Kitchen with Keurig, stove/oven, microwave, small fridge/freezer, essential cooking supplies.
-Stackable washer/dryer, WiFi, and onsite parking.

We enjoyed our stay here. Restaurants were very close. The kitchen had almost everything needed to cook simple meals. Bedding was gorgeous and the bed was very comfortable. We have back issues and were very pleased with the comfort of the mattress.

Very clean. The bed was very comfortable and cozy, and the place is adorable! One small thing that I noticed was that the snacks that were left were long expired... other than that no issues at all!

This was a nice place, well appointed and cute. Bedroom was comfy. It is in a quiet and safe area, although it is probably not the best place to walk at night. Still we felt very safe. Could use a light in the backyard for more safety.

Only thing is says sleeps 4. Just 2 of us stayed and space adequate. Maybe a bit too cramped for 4 adults. Couch is retro and folds out to bed but is hard. Overall great experience!

Thank you for staying with us, we’re glad the home worked well for you overall. We’re surprised about the bed, as it’s one of our most consistently praised features — we’ll double-check it right away. We’d also welcome any specific additional concerns so we can address them for future guests.

We came to Virginia for a two week contract job. And we've been here a month. The house has everything we need. And the neighbors have been friendly. We had an issue with one of the windows the first week. It was fixed the next day. The host is very accommodating, and answers every message promptly. We couldn't be happier.

The house is just as cute as it appears in the pictures. The neighbors are friendly. We haven't been disturbed by anything or anyone. The house is well stocked with the basics. The bed is very comfortable. The kitchen is small, but it's not tight ( there is plenty of room for me to move around). The host has been very accommodating and quick to respond anytime I've needed to talk to them. If we ever come back to Petersburg, I hope it's available.
