The Space:

Escape to Paradise on the Pack River! This pet-friendly craftsman home is a truly unique offering, situated on 6 acres with over 700 feet of private river frontage, offering stunning views of the iconic Pack River and surrounding mountains. The spacious 2,800sqft home features 5 bedrooms and 3 baths. The primary suite is the only bedroom located on the main floor, with a King bed and full en suite bathroom.  Upstairs, you'll find the other four bedrooms and the bunk area.  Three of the upstairs bedrooms have Queen beds, and the fourth bedroom upstairs has a Double-size bed.  The kids in your group will love the upstairs bunk area, complete with a two Twin beds and a Full-size futon, and a massive TV for streaming their favorite shows and movies.  Everyone will enjoy modern comforts like central air conditioning (upstairs only - the main level stays quite cool) and complimentary high-speed WiFi, and also traditional comfort provided by a cozy Hearth Stone freestanding fireplace for those colder days.  Walk outside onto the covered deck where you'll have use of a gas BBQ and plenty of seating for meal times.  To experience the finest natural beauty that North Idaho has to offer, head down to the private beach (about a 2-minute walk from the house) where you'll discover the most serene setting along the shore of the iconic Pack River.  Make full use of tented area for shade and picnic tables at the water's edge, lounge on the beach, and jump in for swim in the crystal clear mountain water.



During the summer months, guests can also enjoy a charming detached bathhouse equipped with a kitchenette and full bathroom, perfect for added convenience. This is such a nice feature when everyone is going back and forth between the house and the beach area, as it has a full-sized fridge for your drinks, a sink, and a microwave.  This bathroom has a toilet and sink, and a walk-in shower which is perfect for showering off after an afternoon on your private beach!  Please note, the bathhouse is only available in the summer and is winterized during the colder months.



Whether you're fishing, swimming in the pristine waters, or exploring the nearby Kaniksu National Forest, this Idaho gem offers the ultimate retreat.  Enjoy the best of both worlds, playing hard outdoors and immersing yourself in the tranquility of this riverside paradise.



*Please note that the attached garage is not accessible to guests.  There is a 2-stall detached carport near the home that guests are welcome to use for covered parking.

Had a bit of a rough start the first night with an AC issue but VRBO, property management and especially the owners, Julie and Jake worked really hard to get us sorted! The house is laid out really well, there’s plenty of comfy furniture and room to cook, visit and hang out! The short walk down to the river is lovely and peaceful—we saw a turkey family, multiple deer and loads of birds—including eagles and hawks! The river has a sandy beach and the perfect mix of shallow and deep water with a smallish creek feeding into it. There’s warm spots and just the slightest current. Great for swimming—our 6-7 yr old grandkids brought floaties and kickboards and our Labrador took her first ever swim!! The large covered area to sit out of the sun was ample, though ideally, the line of sight to the river could be just a bit larger… The only thing that definitely needs improvement is the cleanliness. There was garbage under the bunk beds, the sheets on two of the beds had obvious stains, the furniture in the living room had visible thick dust and debris underneath and the floors, although swept were definitely not clean. Overall, we had a very good time and would definitely go back!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Pack River property! The home was exactly as described, and the location truly couldn’t have been more perfect. The six-acre property is absolutely stunning, and having direct access to the river was such a highlight for our family. We spent so much time down by the water, and it quickly became one of our favorite parts of the trip. The home had all the amenities we needed, and it was conveniently located close enough to town and other attractions while still feeling like a peaceful, private retreat.We did encounter a couple of minor issues during our stay, but they did not take away from how much we enjoyed the property overall. There were some ants in the kitchen and on the main floor at times, which made meal prep a little less convenient, and we also had a smoke detector on the main floor that started beeping during our stay. We reached out to property management, though we didn’t hear back right away, so we took care of the beeping ourselves to keep things comfortable for our family.Despite those small hiccups, we truly loved our time here and would absolutely recommend this property. The home and setting are exceptional, and it really is a special place to make family memories. We would definitely rebook, regardless of the concerns listed, and would be happy to return for another stay in the future.

Best stay ever.

Was easy to check in and out. House had so many accommodations. The scenery is just beautiful. Beds are very comfortable. Very clean. Saw many different animals enjoying my coffee.

Great getaway

The house is wonderful! Roomy with a lot of private spaces. The view was beautiful to watch the snow fall. Clean, organized and the host was very responsive and helpful.

The house was wonderful. So much space, great kitchen, and the upstairs was set up so you could have two separate family groups up there. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the outside area around the house was just tall weeds. If those had been cut down it would have felt more inviting. The area down at the river was very nice. Be sure to wear water shoes as the rocks are a bit slippery.

Smooth check-in and out process. The property was amazing with the wildlife and river. Things to improve/fix: the toaster did not work, drawers and shelves in the refrigerator were broken, chair/bench chairs were loose/breaking, and the burners on the right hand side of the gas stove were not working properly. The last two days there was an infestation of flies in the downstairs bedroom. We did kill them with Raid spray that we went out and bought. No clue where they came from. Other than those issues, the cabin is amazing and the host is great. Hopefully they get those issues taken care of for the future guests.
