Understand that this was during The Ryder Cup and cost was up, but no matter what was paid there are some issues with the property everyone should understand if they plan to reserve. This is an old house that has not been refreshed or well maintained. It was not professionally cleaned before our arrival. Linens were fresh and clean, but the kitchen, fridge, floors and cabinets are dirty. We found pills under side tables for example. One room locks with a pad lock and key. The bathroom door doesn’t latch and the list goes on. Furniture was old and worn and broken in some places. There are rats nests of cables and plugs that (as a contractor) I know are not safe. The thermostat is locked up and you must request changes of the owner if you want to make adjustments. He was responsive to those but that’s not acceptable for a short term rental. I Just think that the lack of reviews means it’s incumbent on me to share the reality. Rent at your own risk.
