Welcome to Valley Farmhouse Retreat!

Enjoy this unique farmhouse, designed for relaxation, that blends traditional charm with modern comforts. Nestled in the historic mountain community of Valle Crucis, home aof the original Mast General Store and the beautiful Valle Crucis Community Park, where the Watauga River flows by the walking path. Valley Farmhouse Retreat is conveniently located centrally to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk.

Escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life to enjoy the simple elegance of the home in a park-like setting with tall pines and sprawling grounds. The farmhouse ambiance is warm and inviting, with carefully selected decor, French Oak, and Belgian Limestone flooring, and abundant natural light from the windows, offering picturesque views of the surrounding landscape. There are multiple seating areas, dining spaces, and a formal living room with a stacked-stone wood-burning fireplace. The gourmet chef's kitchen features marble countertops and high-end appliances. A second prep kitchen provides additional appliances and kitchen space. You will also find several small kitchenettes with coffee bars providing a fantastic setup for entertaining family and friends. Wrap-around decks and tiered patios, complete with ample outdoor seating, take the living outdoors. The back patio features a wood-burning smokeless fire stove, a large gas grill, and a sauna with an outdoor shower.

With 6 bedrooms, 2 on the main floor and 4 on the upper level, there are accommodations for up to 16 guests. Each bedroom includes an ensuite bathroom equipped with luxury Waterworks bathroom fixtures. Elegant in design, each unique bedroom provides a quiet retreat.

The Carriage House above the garage features a large TV, ample seating, tables, and games, making it a fun spot to hang out. The Carriage House even features a full kitchen, making it easy to provide drinks and snacks while socializing.

Valley Farmhouse Retreat is equipped with central heating and air conditioning, featuring thermostats in each bedroom and two separate zones in the main living areas. The Carriage House includes a mini-split for climate control. There is high-speed Wi-Fi with multiple mesh TP-Links throughout the home for a strong signal throughout. Smart TVs throughout can be used to log in to personal streaming accounts; however, there is no live TV service. Firewood can be added to a reservation for an additional fee and will be delivered before or soon after your arrival. No pets are allowed. There are three outdoor cameras: one by the main entry door overlooking the entrance, one on the left front corner of the house overlooking the porch seating area and that entry door, and one by the back breezeway door overlooking that entry, the grill, and the sauna.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this stunning home nestled in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains, and I can't say enough good things about my experience! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by breathtaking views and fresh mountain air that instantly made us feel at home.The cabin itself was beautifully crafted, combining rustic charm with modern amenities. The open floor plan allowed for a seamless flow between the spacious living area, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen. It was the perfect spot for our family gatherings, and we loved curling up by the stone fireplace in the evenings.One of the highlights of our stay was the expansive yard that is very close Mast General and easy access to the mountains. We spent time sipping coffee in the morning while taking in the serene landscape and stargazing at night.The location was also fantastic—close to numerous hiking trails, fishing spots, and charming local towns. We were able to explore the scenic beauty of the Appalachians and immerse ourselves in nature. Each day brought a new adventure, from vibrant fall foliage hikes to peaceful afternoons by the lake.The hosts were incredibly accommodating and thoughtful, providing us with all the necessary information and recommendations to enhance our stay. Their attention to detail truly made a difference.Overall, this mountain VRBO exceeded all our expectations!

The home is beautiful and can accommodate a big family. We stayed here for my son’s wedding at another venue. The night before the wedding the upstairs lights went out and none of the outlets worked. My husband called to get management and told him that he had checked the breakers and it didn’t resolve the problem. The next day he called them back and they sent me a text asking him to check the breaker. We already told them that we did. I had to put my makeup on in a bathroom with no lights and share and go downstairs to use other bathrooms to blow dry and curl my hair. At night I had to use my phone flashlight to wash up. Not only that but the first two days of our stay my shower went from hot to cold and back to hot over and over again. I had to use another bathroom to get a constant hot shower. I don’t know why they never came to fix the lights. I got another text during the wedding asking to line up a time to get it fixed. Any other company would just send someone out with a master key. Beautiful house but terrible management. I am so disappointed that on such a special day i was stressed and inconvenienced this much.

EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS

The kitchen and butler kitchen were incredibly well appointed. The layout of the house was ideal for coming together and for private space. Quality of the beds, sheets, and layout of bedrooms were phenomenal. We plan to rent this home again next time we visit this area with a group. Location is closer to Boone than we had expected. Roads are curvy but it doesn’t last that long.

Unbelievable!

We LOVED this place….the home was everything we expected and more! Craftsmanship was over the top and beautifully decorated. It was thoughtfully set up with all that we could need for a wonderful family weekend. It’s hard to leave! We will definitely come back!

Beautiful property, fully stocked with everything you may need; roomy, clean, beautifully designed and decorated. Short distance to Boone and Blowing Rock, but still isolated from the noise and traffic.
