Great location!

The apartment is in a great location right on the Main The apartment is situated in a prime location on Main Street, surrounded by numerous restaurants and businesses. However, it was challenging to locate at night. The address link provided in the listing led us to a different house, where we were unexpectedly approached by a man, which startled us. After several attempts to find the apartment by going up and down the street, we discovered that parking was required on the street.The interior of the apartment appeared much more inviting in the photos. However, upon our arrival, we noticed that it had not been cleaned. My sister felt that it was dirty, lacking soap, water, and any amenities. To our surprise, someone’s drinks were stored in the refrigerator, along with other items in the apartment. The sofa bed was equipped with basic springs. Initially, we considered leaving immediately, but since it was close to 1 am, we decided to sleep and leave the next morning. Despite having a two-day booking, we ended up checking into an amazing hotel nearby, the Renaissance.

Dissapointed.

I'll start with the good. Appeared clean and neat once we got in. Appliances (TV, Refrigerator and Stove ) Late model and worked well, as did wifi. Property was not as advertised. Queen size bed was only a full sized bed. I'm a tall man wife is not a petite woman. bed was extremely uncomfortable. NEVER WOULD HAVE RENTED KNOWING IT WAS FULL SIZED BED! Laundry was in a seperate building, in the basement and down a steep ramp. inaccesable to my wife due to the steep angle of the ramp. it was also not exclusive to us. As a result had to wait until other people decided to get their laundry out of machines on more than one occasion. Furnace failed, they were good about getting somebody out on a Sat. and actually getting it fixed. Hot water failure. almost 3 days no hot water. No replies from host via msg. Phone calls blaming Columbia Gas. Promised refund for days without hot water, As of writing this, have not recieved. Roaches! They sprayed for roaches, when dealing with no hot water. afterwards there were more. We left the vrbo a week early. Could not reach host via msg,

The neighborhood is quiet and walkable with lots of little shops and restaurants/pubs nearby. The host response was quick. That said we had to request the entry code for the house and the laundry room which was not attached. The drain on the tub was very slow which backed up the water into the tub. The bed was a full sized bed and not overly firm. The air conditioner in the main room was dirty and leaked water on the floor. The kitchen was good and the appliances are new. I think the host could improve by leaving a set of instructions out that would answer questions like where the laundry room was located and trash cans. It served our purpose well for the stay and we always felt safe. Very quiet at night.
