Welcome to Bluebird Cottage! This house is less than a mile from Devil's Backbone Brewery; nestled at the bottom of Wintergreen Resort. Located near several local wineries, breweries, and distilleries along 151 as well as the Appalachian Trail, it is the perfect spot to stay during a trip to Nelson County.

KITCHEN - fully stocked kitchen with all major appliances

LIVING ROOM - formal living room with ample seating and board games

BATHROOM - large shared bathroom with a single vanity, walk-in shower, toilet, all toiletries provided

BEDROOM 1 - queen bed, nightstands with lamps, walk-in closet

BEDROOM 2 - twin over full bunk bed (sleeps 3), dresser, smart TV

OUTSIDE - propane grill, wood-burning fire pit, screen porch with seating (propane and firewood are not provided)

NO pets, violations subject to fines.

This house is perfect for a girls weekend. We did a couple places further out but enjoyed Bold Rock and Devils Backbone. It had everything we needed to enjoy some much needed time to relax at the house also.

Nice quiet spot. On the same property as the owners, but still felt private. I loved seeing their dogs running in their yard every time we drove by I highly recommend the great goes that are nearby, as well as Bold Rock and Devils Backbone Brewery!

cost outweighed value

Screen porch, nestled in nature, character of the interior, wood floors - disappointed in the first impression, we had to go through someone's back yard to get to the front door, felt invasive/not private get away, equipment outside the screenporch, back door in "transfer room" was open when we arrived, trash wasn't removed from previous stay, dead bugs in several of the rooms/windows, kids room right next to exit door with a large uncovered window not great for kids, tv in this room doesnt work

I contacted the owners to see if my family and I could check in earlier and they were about to accommodate for us. The home was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed for our stay.

Worst place I have ever rented

Arrived they had told me driveway hadn’t been plowed it had snowed. I had 4 wheel drive so no big deal. What a mess Looked like someone had played in the driveway total mess almost got stuck got to the house the ramp was a solid sheet of ice. Knowing I was arriving not even trying to get that cleaned off. Then went inside it was 50 degrees and lower in some rooms. I waited over a hr after I had to go through each room to turn each room heater on. Again in freezing weather. Sat in my vehicle went in several times still heat never warmed up in a hr. I called to complain. They said I would get my money back. I got a portion still waiting it’s been 12 days still no refund. The company I am dealing with is VERY RUDE. And is NOT helpful. I have rented from VRBO and never have complained or had an issue I would never deal with this rental company again!

Simple Pleasure

Close to Wintergreen ski resort in quiet spot out of chaos.Simplistic & cozy cabin. Sleeps 4 adults but lots of space for blow ups & have 3 more guests. Bring extra blankets if you sleep with more than one. Clean. No issues. Nice getaway to hike, read, paint, bird, ski or just reset. Loved it!

Convenient but cold

This property was extremely convenient to my mom’s house in Nellysford, but it was very cold. There weren’t any extra blankets, and not all windows had curtains or blinds, and I don’t believe the house was insulated very well. The room with the bunkbeds did not have a heater, but the shower was amazing.

Perfect!!

I wish we were staying longer than one night! This house is amazing! The decor is adorable mixing rustic with modern. The owners thought of everything someone might need. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, q-tips, flossers, coffee, non-dairy creamer, laundry soap and more! The location with the creek in the front is perfect. We sat on the screened in porch and just listened to the rushing water. I can't say enough wonderful things. We will most definitely be back and for longer. Thank you!
