Beautiful Historical Home
First, let me start by saying, that the owners of this home, Lorrie & Jonathan are the most delightful people you would ever want to meet! They answered all of my questions beforehand and had great communication throughout our stay. The house surpassed our expectations. Even though it is a historic home, it has been renovated tastefully with nice furniture and modern conveniences while keeping the historic charm. It is spacious, comfortable, and much bigger than it appears in the photos. The bedrooms are quite nice and roomy with comfy beds and nice linens. The bathrooms were modernized with walk-in tiled showers and there is one on each level. Plenty of fluffy towels and well-stocked with toiletries. The house has excellent water pressure, and the extra half bath on the main level came in handy. The kitchen was bright and well-stocked with everything you need.
The outside has great walkways, with lots of flowers, and a big porch. The parking area is huge and accommodated our 5 cars with no problem at all.
We stayed for 2 nights in September to attend a wedding at Renback Barn, which is 7 mins away.
The neighborhood is quaint, and there is a great bakery a few houses down which is worth the visit. We had 8 people in the party the first night, and 10 the second night and we had plenty of room to move around. We truly had a very pleasant, relaxing stay and if I ever get to Madison again, I will rebook this house. It was a true pleasure!
