Welcome to The Valora Oak Estate, a stunning 13-bedroom, 7-bathroom private estate nestled in the heart of Durham, North Carolina. Designed for unforgettable family reunions, group retreats, milestone celebrations, and relaxing getaways, this expansive property offers the perfect balance of comfort, elegance, and space.

Set on beautifully landscaped grounds, the estate provides ample room for gathering while still offering privacy and tranquility. Guests can enjoy luxurious amenities including a private pool, fitness facility, and full-size tennis court, along with spacious indoor and outdoor areas ideal for connection and relaxation. The estate is child- and pet-friendly, making it a welcoming environment for guests of all ages.

Whether you’re hosting a multi-generational family reunion, enjoying a weekday escape, or gathering with friends for a special occasion, The Valora Oak Estate offers a peaceful retreat with upscale accommodations and modern conveniences — all just minutes from downtown Durham.

Important Booking Information:
Weddings and events are not booked through the VRBO platform.

Tours are available only after a confirmed, paid VRBO booking, per platform policy.

Additional Fees & Stay Information:

Please be advised that the property features two ponds. These ponds are not fenced and may present a safety risk, particularly to children.

Swimming is not permitted in the ponds.

Perfect for large groups

This property was everything we expected and beyond. It was perfect for my family to stay at during my brother's wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed all the facilities and manager was helpful throughout. I would recommend to everyone going to the Durham area with a big group.

Outstanding Stay

Could not recommend this property more. Was amazing for a golf trip with friends. The property far exceeded expectations and photos really do not do it justice. Communication from the host was top class and really made the whole process seamless. If you are thinking about booking this property, do it sooner rather than later as missing out on this would be a travesty. Thank you again and we will be back!

The getaway we needed to strategize and play

Our annual company leadership retreat was held at this property. It was so nice. The property is very clean and up to date. Everything is as described. The onsite team was very kind and lighting-fast responsive when we had a question or challenge. Seriously, Bo and his team deserve a big THANK YOU! Such a great experience. We would highly recommend.

Great Property for large groups and families

We stayed at the Estate property with our family who were attending a wedding in Raleigh. The property was perfect for large groups and families. There were plenty of spaces to relax and plenty of bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quiet. The actual facilities at the property were expansive and well equipped. It made for an exceptional vacation spot for our entire family. The property manager was super helpful with our questions and very accommodating with our requests. He was present but not intrusive which was greatly appreciated.I would absolutely return for another stay when in Raleigh
