Fantastic snowmobiling destination

Great place to stay for snowmobiling vacation. Trails close by, restaurants close by, plenty of parking for trailers. Cozy and comfortable inside with a wonderful mudroom to hang and store equipment. Highly recommend.

Awesome cabin!

Shane’s cabin is better than described! Fully stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Easy check in process. We stayed to do some snowmobiling and had easy access to the trails. Driveway is huge so trailers are no problem. Great location for any activity really. Will definitely stay again!

Family Vacation

We had a great vacation at this river front home. We brought two boats and the dock set up was perfect. We got in shape going up and down the stairway to the river. We enjoyed walking on the private road. We enjoyed nightly fires when it wasn’t raining in the fire pit.

Great Trip to Moosehead Lake!

We had an awesome time! Boating was great, dock was well maintained and easily accessible to the lake. Did over 250 miles of ATV riding. House is well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend booking this house for your next stay on Moosehead lake.

Gorgeous cabin on Moose River

The property and spacious cabin were beautifully maintained and furnished! We enjoyed having coffee watching the river, relaxing with a fire in the evenings outside, being close to tons of activities without being ‘in town’, having all the niceties and amenities right there (kitchen supplies, linens, etc). The owner was very responsive and had everything perfectly prepared. Our 2 Great Danes loved sunbathing in the grass and keeping an eye out for chipmunks. Would absolutely stay here again!

July Moosehead Fishing Vacation

The property is very cozy and comfortable and appropriate for the Moosehead region. The deck is very comfortable and our family spent a great deal of time there in the morning and the evening. We had two 20 foot fishing boats that were easily secured on the boat dock. The stairs, which were 65 in number, gave me my exercise and I actually lost a bit of weight. I thank you Shane for the wonderful experience.

Hunting Trip/Awesome Cabin

My family and I (6 people) just recently stayed at this cabin from November 2-9, 2024. Directions from the owner were received three days prior to the rental with instructions to locate and enter the cabin. Upon arrival, the house was spotless! There was a wood burning stove on the inside of the cabin with a substantial amount of wood left in the yard for the fireplace. I would recommend bringing a small ax/hatchet to split the bigger pieces that won’t/wouldn’t fit in the wood burning stove. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for and would recommend this to anyone looking for an outdoor getaway!

Great Cabin!

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this cabin on Moosehead Lake, and it was truly an exceptional experience. In over 30 years of vacationing at Moosehead Lake this was by far the cleanest and most well-equipped cabin I have ever stayed in. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making it feel like a home away from home. Shane, our host, was perfect in every way. He was attentive, responsive, and genuinely cared about ensuring we had a great stay. The check-in and checkout process was seamless and easy, allowing us to focus on relaxing and enjoying our time. The cabin’s location was fantastic, with great access to the lake and just a short drive to local attractions. Overall, this cabin rental on Moosehead Lake exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-maintained retreat with an outstanding host.

Labor Day weekend

The cabin was nice. Got an intense phone call from the host during our stay that scared our group. We had a few changes of our guest list and had a last minute dog come along. Our friends were camping up north and on their way back home decided to camp in the driveway to spend the weekend with us. The host called and said no popups were allowed and we needed to pay extra animal fees, etc. the Vrbo post did not mention animal fees or no popups allowed. We did not know about extra fees, which the host demanded from us during our stay. We would have preferred to have been contacted after our stay about the additional fees so it would not have ruined our stay.

Everything was perfect. The home had everything you could need which is so wonderful being 30 minutes from any larger stores if you forgot something. The home was comfy with lots to do and the yard was accommodating to our vehicles and snowmobiles. Just wonderful from beginning to end. Highly recommend.

Wish I could give a 10 star

Perfect place for our family. Large home, large yard so we could play frisbee. The swimming area is also great. If you forgot anything it is probably here already. So far this is our favorite rental. We took a vote and we want to come here next year. Do not wait too long book your dates perfect place.

Wonderful Lake Location

Our family of 5 had an absolutely wonderful time here. The cabin is very spacious and has many different sleeping/room options. The basement game room was a hit with our kids. Having a washer/dryer was a huge plus because we could pack lighter and go home with clean clothes. There are three kayaks - 2 double-seaters and one single - along with life jackets. Games and DVDs were great to have in the evenings. Easy access to lake activities. Being right on the water was wonderful - this section of the river is right at the mouth of Moosehead Lake, and the water was very calm, allowing for our younger kids to kayak and float about easily right near the dock while also allowing everyone to paddle into the actual lake in a short time. Kitchen is well-stocked with every tool you might need, lots of towels and blankets in rooms, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was downright painful to leave after such a wonderful week.

Lifetime of memories

Dad/Daughter fishing trip was a great success. We all had an awesome time, the property was great, had a few camp fires, dinner on the back porch, dock access, we will certainly be back.

Perfect family getaway

We cannot say enough good things about this cabin. Took the wife up for her birthday weekend to spend some quality time with our kids and family. The owner checked to make sure we were good, and was very helpful and resourceful. We DEFINITELY will be back!

Outstanding Rental!

This property was amazing! The pictures do not do this cabin justice. It was incredibly beautiful and comfortable with all the amenities one could possibly need. Great location and excellent communication from the host.
