The perfect summer rental

The home was beautiful, and location perfect for our family summer vacation. The house has all the amenities you would want, from the heated pool to kayaks and board games galore. Clean and well appointed, the pictures and host make for a perfect stay.

Sept stay

We had a wonderful time staying here. We were six adults and two children and had plenty of room. I wanted to make sure everyone had their own bathrooms in this COVID era. The property was beautiful. The layout of the house was very functional and convenient for a group. And the pool and backyard patio was perfect. The pool was very warm and we were able to swim everyday, where the temps were in the 70s. Karen was very responsive and Pete who managed the house was available for any help needed but we didn’t need anything. Everything worked great. Highly recommend and would come back. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful

What an amazing week in an amazing house. Pool was the centerpiece of it all, though the entire property was perfect for us. Older kids played volleyball, got some sun, etc. The five year old learned to swim on his own! Owner and manager super responsive and flexible. Can't give it enough stars.

Excellent Vacation House

We rented this house after deciding we could not travel to Seattle due to the pandemic. What a silver lining it turned out to be. Two adults, 3 teenagers, and one 11 year old had plenty of family activities like ping-pong, swim, and board games, yet enough room to space out also. The house was clean and air conditioned. The pool and fire pit were fantastic; we made s’mores on 3 separate nights. The location was great and close enough to other activities like paddle boarding. I found many good running routes into town. Both the owner and property manager were very responsive. Overall a great place to stay.

Wonderful house and owners.

Perfect Family Getaway

This house is exactly what we were looking for. Well designed in every aspect. The pool, fire pit and sun room were perfect. Kayaking a block away and the beach which was a short ride away we added bonuses.

Amazing Family Experience

A wonderful accommodation for our family of 12 Cape Cod experience. Our grandchildren and adults loved the pool, ping pong table tournament competition, eating under the deck pergola, bunk room, Cape Cod baseball league game, Hyline Harbor Cruise, paddleboard/kayaks and trips to Fancys!! The house perfectly equipped and comfy beds! Great dinner at The Chart Room nearby - with walkup bar to order while you wait! Our week ended with our traditional family Christmas photo in the backyard among the gorgeous hydrangeas and landscape. Thanks so much for a memorable experience!

We are repeat renters and there is a reason! The house is perfect for our extended family, it is extremely well stocked both in the kitchen and the recreation items. The pool is great and the house location couldn’t be better. If there is an issue, the house manager is quick to respond and the owner is also very available and receptive to suggestions. While they can’t provide excellent weather (which we had!) every other option is taken care of completely. For me, an additional bonus was the stunning Hydrangeas and the landscaping. We had 6 children, ages 3-12, 6 parents and two grandparents and without a doubt it was a great vacation! We couldn’t have asked for more, thanks to the owners for listing and the home manager.

Perfect Vacation Spot

This house was absolutely perfect. This was our first time in Osterville and we loved it. We were a family of 12 consisting of 6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 9 yrs old to 1 yrs old. The house was beautiful and have everything you could possible need from the kitchen to entertaining. The house was big enough that even with 12 of us you could find a quiet spot if needed. There was plenty of games for the kids, plus a ping pong table and the pool was beautiful. Location was perfect. Osterville is a very quaint town. The beach is a short distance and just about a 20 minute ride to Hyannis which we spent sometime shopping and going on a Pirate Cruise for the kids. The owner was very accommodating and easy to contact. This was one of our best vacations and will definitely return.

July 2018 Family Vacation!

We’ve been renting vacation home since the early 90’s when our kids were little and now we are a family with adult kids who have kids of their own-and still want to spend a week together! This was the best by far. The home is gorgeous with all the amenities. Very well stocked with all you need for a week both inside the house and for recreation. The pool was the highlight for the grands-2 to 11, everyone enjoyed all the water time. Plenty of room to spread out for each family and the nightly fire pit or card games were great for the adults. The little beach with crab catching was a hit as well as the town stroll. Personally, we liked the Friday night apps @ Crosby’s Chart House when everyone departed for home! Highly recommend,...

Everything we were hoping for our family reunion/vacation on the Cape!

This home was perfect for our family of 13. It was well-appointed for all ages in our group; the younger set (ages 2 to 14) enjoyed the kids bunk room, the variety of board games and building toys. The highlight for sure was the amazing heated swimming pool. The kids (and the adults) would have been in the pool every minute of every day if we didn’t all have to eat, bathe and sleep!! The older group took advantage of the enclosed porch, the fire pit and the outdoor deck, as well as the spacious kitchen and convenient grill. I’m certain we ate better than most visitors to the Cape the entire week. We weren’t able to take advantage of the recreational gear, but don’t feel like we missed much because we took advantage of pretty much everything else available. Dowses Beach was a mere 8 minutes from the house and spectacular for collecting shells. We loved the location and convenience to everything … Osterville village, Four Seas Ice Cream, and Hyannis. There were a few things that occurred during the week that required us to contact both Peter, the property manager, and the owner, Karen. They could not have been more kind or helpful in resolving our issues in a very timely manner. All email communications from inquiry to specifics about the property and surrounding area were prompt and detailed. I’m not sure that our travels will bring us back to the Cape anytime soon, however, we would recommend Karen and John’s home to anyone looking for a wonderful, comfortable, home away from home experience without hesitation. Thank you for exceeding all of our expectations.

Amazing stay! I never wanted to leave! I felt like we were royalty staying at this beautiful home!

The property was exquisite.. Peter who is in charge of the property couldn’t do enough for us! We didn’t even venture to the nearby beach 🏖 because the heated saltwater pool was perfect! The house was magnificent and you woke up to birds chirping and a beautifully manicured lawn. Even cooking was incredible because the kitchen is massive! My kids and my two nieces had a blast and loved having their own playroom and dorm like room upstairs! We ate on the deck and spent the nights sipping wine and making s’mores at the fire pit while overlooking the lighted pool! It was better than staying at a hotel! I would recommend this property to anyone that needs a relaxing vacation in Osterville! Not even 5 minutes away from the shops and cute boutiques... Everything was right there for our whole family and the house was stocked with towels, utensils for cooking 🥘, even a kerug machine for my coffee! Excellent communication also through out the whole booking process! Karen made sure that our week was one to remember!

Perfect!

This is the second year our family was able to enjoy this beautiful home! The layout is perfect and the backyard is another room everyone used all week. Perfect Place to Stay!

This home was luxurious, well-appointed, well-maintained, and in a great location. It lives up to every description on the website and, in fact, the pictures barely capture how nice it is. Lovely decor and amenities. The pool is FABULOUS and a game-changer on a hot day when you don't want to go to the beach. Great setup for a group with kids, teenagers - multi-generational families who want to stay together under the same roof would fin this setup absolutely perfect. Loved it!

Wonderful weekend in beautiful Osterville

This home is wonderful for so many reasons! First, the house itself: it's even lovelier than in the photos, impeccably maintained, spacious (lots of bedrooms with real beds, and full bathrooms), and filled with fun little things - from kayaks and ping pong to board games and books to a cozy TV room to, obviously, a great pool area. We stayed with a group of girlfriends and it was perfect for a large group of adults - the kitchen/dining/great room was great for entertaining -- but would also be fantastic for families with kids. Second, Osterville is amazing! Such a quaint downtown with cute shops and great restaurants. All of the streets are so pretty and well maintained, and there are coastal views all around the neighborhood -- it was a little gem that we weren't expecting. Finally, Karen was warm and easy to work with and the property manager, Pete, was friendly and helpful throughout the weekend. If we return to the Cape we will stay here again, no question!

Great spacious house with perfect layout!

We had a great week at the Cape! The house was perfect for our large group, in a lovely neighborhood, with an open concept layout and terrific outdoor space. The kids enjoyed the pool, and we appreciated that we could keep an eye on them from inside the house with the layout of the kitchen being right there. The owner was also very responsive and helpful, and a pleasure to work with. We have rented many houses on the Cape before, and this was definitely our favorite!

This is a really beautiful large home in a quiet street in Osterville. The owner responded very quickly to our emails at booking. The pool was beautiful, the garden lovely, the manager met us promptly, the home was pristine and very clean, good air conditioning, great kitchen, as good as it looks on the website. After spending many family holidays on the Cape, we decided it was time to buy a place of our own and found this beautiful home in Osterville in the fall of 2015. We wanted to create a home for ourselves where we would spend vacations with extended family and friends for years to come.

We chose Osterville as the village is so charming and offers wonderful restaurants, lovely shops, village library and gourmet deli and, importantly, a bakery with wonderful coffee and crumb cake. We chose this lovely house as it ticks all the boxes - beautiful setting on quiet tree-lined road from which we can cycle to the beach and village, water access for kayaks and paddleboards and, importantly, there was room for a pool! The pool, deck and firepit are being constructed now and will be ready for summer. In addition to wonderful location and outdoor attactions, the layout of the house is perfect for extended families with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms!

House also has gym with weights, treadmills. Ping pong in garage, badminton, can jam, pool volleyball and board games. Fantastic back patio with BBQ overlooking pool and firepit makes perfect gathering spot day and night. Backyard offers excellent privacy.
