This house is set up for a family vacation which is exactly what we did. Plenty of space for getting together or for finding a quiet spot for quiet conversations. What a wonderful family vacation we had! The house was as beautiful and comfortable as we imagined it would be. We had plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 kids. The lake was very shallow, which was perfect for our youngsters! We had a great time exploring the lake on kayaks. Use of the indoor community pool came in handy on our one rainy day. Communication with Host was easy. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to meet the property manager and he was extremely helpful with suggesting local farmer’s markets and stores. The community was very quiet. We enjoyed a daily visit from 3 fawns and a couple chipmunks. Adults and kids caught fish right from the dock! Everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. We’re looking forward to returning next year!

Eleven family members stayed in this beautiful lakeside house for 4 nights. We ranged in age from 11 months to 76 years old. We all had a wonderful time! We can't say enough about our stay in Drums. Everything about the experience was a 10. Gale is the most responsive host I have ever encountered, answering my myriad and sometimes odd questions very quickly. The house is situated lakeside and felt like a sanctuary. The Quail Hollow community is quiet. The interior of the house is beautiful and easily accommodated all 11 of us. Between the kayaks, canoe and simply playing and swimming, screens were never mentioned or used (with pre-teens in our company, that's a win). We were outdoors in the Adirondack chairs, eating on the deck or in the water for our entire stay, other than when sleeping or for brief rain. The kitchen is fully outfitted and easy to work in. Beds are comfortable, with bedrooms on each floor, which made it easy to provide quiet sleeping and napping spaces for a baby and a 3 year old. We would certainly go back!

Terrific spot on a pretty manmade lake. Well outfitted. We enjoyed the kayaks and pedal boat, fishing from the dock, and swimming. (A little soft wading in, but the water was really nice.) Plenty of room for 8 adults. Beds were comfortable. Great stay!

Perfect Family Lake House — Already Planning Our Return! We had an incredible stay in mid-August at this beautiful 5-bedroom lakefront home in Drums with our six grandchildren, ages 4–13, along with their parents. The house was exactly as described—beautiful, comfortable, and incredibly well appointed. By the time we left, everyone was already talking about coming back next year!It was the perfect setup for our multigenerational family. The large backyard gave the kids plenty of room to run and play, while the fire pit was perfect for evenings filled with marshmallows and s’mores. The deck overlooking the lake quickly became our favorite gathering spot, especially for enjoying coffee in the morning and beautiful summer evenings together. The house was thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed, including a Keurig coffee maker with both single-serve and full-carafe options, which was especially appreciated with a large family and different coffee preferences. It was just one of many little touches that made the house feel so welcoming and convenient. For the kids, it was absolute paradise. There were life jackets in all sizes, along with kayaks and a paddle boat that they practically lived in all week! We also rented the pontoon boat offered by the owner, which was one of the biggest highlights of the trip. Everyone—from our 4-year-old to our 70-year-old—had a wonderful time on the water. The wildlife and fishing made our mid-August stay even more special

Our three kids grew up enjoying this fabulous retreat, the lake and all that it has to offer. We are natives of Lancaster Co and really enjoy the less then two hour drive to our 'little slice of heaven'.We hope you will find yourself here and discover for yourselves why we love it.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

The community we are in boasts a 180 acre lake and an intentional wooded landscape making you feel like you are surrounded by nature while still enjoying all the amenities of a large community.

この宿泊施設の特徴

Our lakefront lodge offers an uninterrupted view of mountains and lake as well as a nearby island. The lake offers a very gradual descent into deeper water with no drop offs or big rocks. It is ideal for children and adults both. The lake offers many different species of freshwater fish and wildlife. Deer, geese, ducks and our resident swan will likely greet you at close range. PLEASE DO NOT FEED THEM. We don't want them hanging out with us for numerous reasons!
