Dingy Condo

We had really high hopes for this place and were sadly let down. Check in time was at 4pm- my family and I were waiting outside the door until 5:30pm because the cleaners were still inside working. I tried to contact Jim the host (calling him 3 times through this time) and I never got ahold of him- nor a reply. This place was very dingy inside. I can deal with outdated or old things- but I cannot deal with dirty things that just straight up need replaced.The couch, couch pillows, and rugs were grotty. I did not want my babies on the dirty couch so I covered it with a sheet so they could sit on it. We dreaded taking showers or using the bathroom- the tubs were very yellow and gross, along with the drains. Shower curtains were old and yucky yellow- and rested on the plunger by the toilet. My kids toys fell under the couch and we had to retrieve them covered in dust and dog food (we did not have pets with us). Dust was hanging from the walls and ceiling fans. The one good thing about this place was the location and how close it was to the beach.

Enjoyable stay

We had an enjoyable stay. The resort is undergoing major construction but the impact for us was luckily minimal. The owner was very responsive to our questions before arrival The kitchen is very well supplied with pots, pans, etc. This was our 4th year staying in different units at Maravilla and the people there are always friendly and welcoming, especially if you're into pickleball.

Clean, nice condo in a beautiful location

Very nice condo in a great location in Miramar Beach, FL. Clean and well appointed. Kitchen is showing its age but everything was functional. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Construction ongoing at the property, check with property owner for dates and how a stay might be affected. Property itself has nice pools, hot tubs, pickle ball court, barbeque grills, and the private beach (just across the street from the complex) with chairs provided is a real plus. Excellent communication from owner, Jim.

Family trip to the beach

Fantastic condo. Right across the street from the private beach which was a plus. The beach chairs and umbrella at the beach was a plus, and also all the beach items in the outside storage bin.

Great Memories

We had a great stay at this property. It was a great location with easy access to the beach. The entire family had a great time, including my nephew on his first ever visit to the ocean! Thanks for the great family memories!!!

Needs improvement

Condo was clean except for top of fridge and bedskirt in Master room was dirty and hanging on the floor. Washer/dryer is where a pantry should be located and the the other closet in hall area is so full of owners things (air fryer, irons, huge stockpot, beach things….) there is no room to put groceries for week as cabinets were also full. Door knob to condo was loose when we arrived and fell off multiple times throughout the week. Shower curtain was barely up in master bathroom when we arrived and by Tuesday night it had fallen on me when getting in shower. Owner was contacted about issues but was told nothing could be done until Saturday. You also can’t watch tv in the 3rd bedroom as the tv is on opposite wall that bed faces and in the master the tv is mounted to far side of room but will not pull out or rotate making it hard to see unless you’re on that side of bed. There are no trash shutes in this complex so walking trash out is kind of far. Unit is ok but we felt there is no storage as closets and cabinets are full already. Can’t really see the ocean as condo is towards the back. Owner was prompt to respond but couldn’t seem to get us any help or offer anything for the inconveniences.

First family vacation with an infant

Great experience, place had everything we needed. Our daughter loved the bed, she slept just as good if not better than at home. Response time was quick, we would definitely stay here again if they will have us.

Perfect location and amenities

This was the ideal place to stay. I really like that there was a hot tub and a heated pool. Just a short walk across the street to get to the beach. The condo was clean and comfortable. Very comfortable beds! If we come here again next year, I would definitely stay at this place again

Great location with beach access

Property was clean and neat. We had a short 3 minute walk to the beach with chairs and umbrella if desired! Plenty of board games and puzzles to keep you entertained off the beach. Also a very nice selection of beach toys, boogie boards and chairs to use and return! 2 pools on property to use and grills for a BBQ! Great for kids and grandparents! Highly recommended!

Nice Condo on the beach

Wonderful condo close to the beach with plenty of space for our family of 5. Added bonus were the beach chairs, toys, and inflatables in the tub on the balcony. The host was responsive to our needs and communicated with us throughout our stay.

Good except check in and communication.

The place and neighborhood was nice and clean. However, took us 3 hours to get checked in past our check in time. Information that was provided to me was incorrect and could not get ahold of the owner to provide correct information. Once owner was finally contacted, they somewhat apologized and said they were on a boat somewhere with no reception.

Hi, we are Liz, Jim and Devin currently living too far from the beach in the Dallas, TX area. We are able to get our water fix on the boat at one of our lakes, but nothing compares to the sand, sun and gentle breezes of the Gulf. We can't wait to get back to our condo. In the mean time, feel free to book our unit and enjoy the beach on our behalf.

This is our little slice of paradise. Sugar white sand on the beach, great weather, excellent dining and entertainment. We discovered Destin about 19 years ago after talking with one of our friends and have turned it into a regular vacation destination ever since. Located in northwest Florida, Destin is a reasonable drive for us from Dallas and for just about anywhere else east of the Rockies. In our many visits to Destin, we have met wonderful people from all over the country, and even a few from Europe, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

We looked at many properties in the area and were drawn to the family and pet friendly atmosphere at Maravilla. It is a beautiful property with a private beach and all the amenities we were looking for. The layout of the property makes it very easy to access the beach, pools and tennis courts while affording the opportunity to meet your new neighbors.
