Let us host you at this charming 3-bedroom gem, nestled in the peaceful surroundings of Avon. This beautiful house offers everything you need for a relaxing lakeside getaway, combining comfort with scenic beauty and decorated with vintage touches celebrating Minnesota lake life

Lakefront: Enjoy direct private access to the lake, 100 ft of lakefront, complete with a dock and stunning views.
Outdoor Fun: Paddle boards and Lily Pad available for your use, Lake Wobegon Trail just a quarter mile down the road - 65 miles of paved trail for walking, biking, rollerblading, and snowmobiling in the winter months.
Relaxation: Deck perfect for sipping your morning coffee or enjoying a drink.
Comfort: WiFi, heating, and air conditioning to keep you comfortable year-round.
Location Highlights: the most gorgeous sunrise and glass lake sunsets. Tons of sunfish for fishing off the dock or boat. Will you get lucky and catch a walleye?
Guest policy: our permit is for sleep 8, max 12 people on property during daytime hours.
Nearby: Close to St. Benedict’s, St. John’s, Blattner Energy, St. Cloud, Albany Area Schools, and 1/4 mile from the 65 mile long Lake Wobegon Trail.

Bringing a Boat, Pontoon, or Jet Ski?
The public boat launch is conveniently located just accross the lake, a 1.5 mile drive from the house.

While our lakehouse offers plenty of entertainment, there are additional activities nearby. Enjoy six brand-new pickleball courts, two tennis courts, a basketball court, and a small playground in town by the Church and Casey's gas station. We highly recommend the historic Fishers Club on the lake just a mile away. Amazing Walleye and drinks, right on the lake.

Well organized, all the basics available for a family meal and expectations clearly made. Our family enjoyed a Christmas as a group with enough space for both adults and kids and close enough to their homes they could come and go when needed.

Lovely house with a gorgeous winter view of the lake! We enjoyed watching the ducks in the afternoon. Was here for a quick stop to visit family nearby, and this was a very easy stay—auper appreciated some extra flexibility on check-in time and booking.

Family Vacation

The property was just as described. It was a great location for a family vacation near the bike trails and on a perfect lake for kayaking. We highly recommend this vacation property to anyone wanting a quite and enjoyable family vacation.

Our Stay at Middle Spunk Lake

This is a wonderful accomodations for a family stay. The home is spacious and fully supplied with dishes, cookware, beds, linens etc. it has a lovely deck from which to view the lake. Our grandson especially enjoyed the pool table and sitting out on the dock.

Worth every penny!! I can’t say enough great things about this place! VERY clean! The most stocked VRBO I’ve ever stayed in. Amanda was very accommodating, allowing us an early check in and late check out. Very comfortable beds. We stayed a couple days for a wedding and we were able to have fires, cook great breakfast, and iron all of our clothes. We will ABSOLUTELY stay again!

The property was exactly as advertised. Beautiful lakefront, spacious, exceptionally clean, and well furnished home.We enjoyed the proximity to the Wobegon Trail and shopping in Saint Joseph. Our host left a very detailed and helpful list of suggestions of things to do in the area. We loved the hike to the Stella Maris chapel at SJU-a hidden gem! We enjoyed several meals at the nearby Fisher Club as well.

Fun Family Gathering

Perfect setting for gathering as a family. We completed a 1000 piece family picture puzzle, grilled most nights on the BBQ, swam and enjoyed the paddleboards and biked every day on the Lake Wobegon trail. Drove to experience St. John's university for a hike to the chapel. I have traveled and used VRBOs all over the world and this home was by far the best place to bring family together. Amanda, the host, was always responsive and helpful to all our questions and needs. We all shared how enriched we felt from our stay. So grateful!

Graduation Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at the lovely lake cabin we rented for my son’s graduation. The cabin was charming and comfortable, with several thoughtful renovations already completed and more improvements clearly in progress. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing and memorable celebration. The owner was incredibly easy to reach and responsive throughout our stay, which made everything smooth and stress-free. She genuinely welcomed feedback and was open to suggestions—especially appreciated since my mom, who owns a rental home herself and has strong opinions, had a few ideas to share. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we’d gladly return.

HIGHLY recommend!

Our experience here was excellent! The location was tranquil, the home was spacious and well-kept, and the lake provided amazing views and fun! Our family of five (including two young adults and one teenager) sincerely appreciated the space and relaxation that this home provided. We were in town for a long weekend for a family wedding, and I was dreading renting a couple of hotel rooms. Staying in hotels works well for overnights, but when you need a place for the entire family for several days, hotels are far from ideal. This home allowed us each to have our own space (my husband and eldest son were even able to work remotely part of the time), and the lake activities were truly enjoyable. I'm extremely grateful to have found this home so close to the wedding venue! The next time we're visiting family in MN, I will check this VRBO first and cross my fingers that it's available!
