Metro Detroit Getaway on a large lot with 4 bedrooms

This entire 2-story house and property are yours to enjoy.

Use it as a central location to visit the many beautiful places Metro Detroit offers. We are conveniently located near several grocery stores (including high-end options), excellent restaurants, coffee shops, and expressways.

We are close to the Oakland Hills Country Club golf course, the M1 Concourse for racing enthusiasts, the Franklin Cider Mill for kids, and downtown Birmingham for shopping or foodies.

Downtown Detroit is a 20-minute drive, and Ferndale and Royal Oak are even less.

BEDROOMS

There are four bedrooms, including a primary suite with a king-size bed, an en suite bathroom, a walk-in closet, a desk, and a TV.

All the bedrooms are on the second floor. The smallest bedroom features a high-end sofa bed; we provide linens in the closet for your use if needed. The other bedrooms have a queen-sized bed in one and two full-sized beds (Purple mattresses) in the other.

EATING AREAS

There are two 6-person seating areas inside for eating: one in the kitchen and the other in the front room, which has a Smart TV. The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking supplies.

FIREPLACE

There is a natural fireplace and an outdoor fire pit. Sticks and one bundle of firewood are also available on the property. Please make sure to open the chute to start a fire and close the chute when done to prevent cold air from coming in.

OUTSIDE AREA

The front patio and back deck are great places to sit, relax, and enjoy the outside air.

A large deck extends from the back of the family room. It has a vintage/distressed look, but we have an outdoor rug, a couch (during spring and summer), and wrought-iron furniture to make the vintage look less noticeable.

In season, a charcoal grill is available on the back porch. Grill supplies are located in the laundry room closet.

There is enough parking for four cars in the driveway, and two vehicles can be parked alongside the driveway on the wood chips (during a landscaping project, wood chips may be piled up there).

We have a variety of animals on the property, including deer, chipmunks, birds, and more. Please be mindful where you walk in the backyard, as deer and their fawns visit regularly.

ADDITIONAL INFO

Complimentary Wi-Fi, HBO Max, Hulu, Disney+, and a washer/dryer are provided.

There are three TVs: two on the first floor and one in the primary suite on the second floor. They are connected to Wi-Fi and let you access your subscriptions and apps. Make sure it is connected to WI-FI.

We provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but do not offer laundry detergent or dryer sheets.

You do not have access to the garage or basement.

Enjoy an easy check-in experience with a keyless Yale Smart lock. Check-in time is 4:00 pm, and check-out time is 11:00 am.

LONG-TERM RENTALS

If you desire to rent for more than 30 days, we will require you to sign a short-term rental agreement.

HOUSE RULES

We love hosting guests and our fabulous neighbors, so we ask that you be as respectful as possible by following a few house rules.

No parties, gatherings, or events. This will forfeit your reservation.

No more than 8 people at the home at any time. If you exceed this number, it will be considered a violation of the previous rule.

Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.

We kindly request that you refrain from wearing shoes on the second floor.

No pets, as we want to respect our guests' allergies.

There is no smoking or vaping inside the house. If you smoke outside, please pick up the remnants.

We consider strong air fresheners and heavy cologne as indications of covering up smoke; therefore, please refrain from overusing both.

Parking for trailers, RVs, boats, and production companies seeking to film is prohibited.
