I recently stayed in this apartment with my husband and 8 month old son for about a week. While overall this was a nice accommodation, it did have some shortcomings that I think mentioning would be helpful to future renters.
When we arrived, the weather was warm (about 85F outside each day) and would cool considerably at night. Unfortunately, the apartment itself was very hot with little circulation. The windows only cracked at the bottom and the two oscillating fans in the apartment didn't help much. Our baby monitor was measuring the apartment at 82F at night when it was between 65-70F outside. This made sleeping pretty uncomfortable. We were also a bit frustrated that the bed had only a fitted sheet and a light comforter with a duvet on it. Sleeping under a comforter was too uncomfortable, so we actually went out and bought a flat sheet that would be cooler.
Aside from the temperature and bedding issues, we had a good stay. This was our first trip with our baby, and I think a little more space would have been more comfortable for us, but that's no fault of the apartment itself, just a tip if you are considering staying here with a small child. The kitchen was well equipped with a small fridge, small freezer, a small washer/dryer (all within the same appliance), and a stove/oven that I couldn't figure out how to work when I tried to boil some water so I gave up. We didn't use much in the cabinets, but there was a good amount of dishes and utensils.
The bed itself was comfortable. The pillows were flat and uncomfortable for our taste. Everything was clean. The floors were actually still a bit wet when we arrived, so I know they had been mopped before we arrived. It was helpful that the building has a lift to the 6th floor where this unit is located since we had a stroller. Be advised that there are a couple of steps in the lobby of the building between the main door and the lift. This wasn't an issue for us, but it's worth mentioning. The building was very quiet on a quiet street and was a good central location for our home base with multiple tube stops within walking distance. There are also lots of bars, restaurants, coffee shops, and stores within easy walking distance.
Communication with Liz was easy and she was helpful with preparing for the trip, recommendations, and was easy to reach while we were there.
Overall, we had a nice stay, but I hope these tips help others decide if this is the best choice for them.
