Pros: HOA complex has a nice pool and grill area & location
Cons:
- Front access gate code does not work. A previous review noted this, a manager responded saying it would be fixed, and it was not. We arrived around 8PM and were unable to get in through the gate with our access code. We reached out to the manager, owner, and cleaner. Nobody got back to us. We waited close to an HOUR to get in following another car. The manager and homeowner acknowledged that the code doesn't work and the manager told us that guests can usually "figure out a way in."
- The flooring was so stained and dirty that we requested it be cleaned the first morning. A carpet company came to clean, and we had to pick up everything off the ground, leave the unit for 6 hours cleaning and drying time, then we had to put everything back. The floors were clean but stained. HOURS of vacation time wasted.
- The faucets in both bathrooms were corroded and leaked. On day two the faucet in the guest bath got stuck and would not turn off. We notified the homeowner and manager. Neither responded. After several days of NOT being able to use that bath/shower we threatened to call a plumber and send them the bill because the water had been GUSHING for days. We sent a video to EVOLVE, manager, and homeowner. The plumber was shocked by the state of the bathrooms. The finish on both tubs was peeling, mold on the caulk and a leaking toilet in the master bath. The plumber had to argue with the owner but insisted on at least swapping faucets for us. The mold in the master bath and the flaking and staining in both bath tubs was never addressed. The owner refused.
- Previously white towels were grey/yellow & snagged. Bedroom pillows were yellow and lumpy. Bathmats were dirty and matted down. We spent almost a week there before these items were fixed, and they weren't fixed until I spent HOURS on the phone.
- The dryer didn't work for the first 2 weeks. The vent was blocked and hadn't been cleaned. I requested a fire extinguisher for the unit and was ignored.
-Check the tax rates if you stay 30+ days. We were overcharged $$$. Eventually reimbursed.
- Sliding screen door is broken. It fell on my 4 yr old. Never fixed.
- Fridge died 3 days before departure.
- Managed 5 different repairmen while we were in the unit! WASTED DAYS AND DAYS of our vacation!
- VRBO & EVOLVE are no help if the owner is bad.
- We saw bad reviews but saw manager responses and thought items had been addressed but were not.
