Upper Canyon Cabin, 2 King Beds, Fenced Yard, Wildlife, Dog-friendly!

Mystic Pines is a three-bedroom cabin surrounded by free-roaming wildlife and pine trees! The large, peaceful deck gives the cabin a treehouse feel as you gather for morning coffee or an evening adult beverage. Centrally located for easy access to all things Ruidoso, Mystic Pines is the perfect home base for making memories with friends and family. Plus, there's a fenced yard with deck access, so for a small pet fee, your pups can safely hang out with you!

Please note that the living area is 100% upstairs. Guests should be comfortable walking up a flight of stairs to enjoy the accommodations fully.

While the cabin is on high ground, safe from any damage, flood evidence is present in the Upper Canyon. Cleanup is underway. The Village of Ruidoso welcomes its visitors!

During the winter months, occasional inclement weather can occur. If roads become icy, a four-wheel drive vehicle or chains is recommended.

Note: Both king beds have quality hybrid mattresses that are on the firm side. While we receive many compliments on the beds, if you prefer soft beds, this cabin may not fit your needs.

We had a wonderful stay! The pet friendliness was exceptional and made traveling with our furry companion easy and comfortable. The hosts were attentive and responsive without ever being intrusive, which we really appreciated. One of our favorite parts of the stay was enjoying our morning coffee on the deck-it was absolutely superb. We'd happily stay here again!

This lovely cabin among the pines in the Upper Canyon was the best stocked Vrbo we've stayed in! Communication with the host was outstanding. We would happily stay here again!

The cabin was definitely just right for my family of six four adults and two kids. It was nice and quiet plus they had some games in the cabin to keep the kids busy, overall it was a nice place, will stay there again.

Beautiful !Cozy!Perfect fenced yard for pets!We had the best Thanksgiving here!! Our hosts thought of everything!We loved the welcome book with all the little details to make our stay stress free ,answering all our questions. The cabin had everything we needed,in a home away from home! We had a wonderful stay!

We had an amazing stay in this Ruidoso cabin! It was clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained with everything we needed. The location was perfect—peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet close to town. We loved relaxing on the deck and taking in the mountain views. This cabin truly felt like a home away from home. We would absolutely stay here again!

Memorial Day getaway

The cabin was a fantastic stay for our group of four. Our hosts were very attentive in communication, and had put great attention to detail in the outfitting of their property. If we are ever back in the area, we look forward to renting again!

Beautiful quick family getaway

My family of six enjoyed our stay here. Weather did not allow for our planned activities but we had a great time creating memories over the board games and playing cards they had available. Thank you for sharing your home with our family!

Ruidoso trip

Overall very satisfied with cabin. Kitchen had a lot of kitchen tools most kitchens don’t have. Nice to have fenced-in yard for child and pup.

We so enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cabin. The owners were so kind and VERY prompt with their responses through the VRBO messenger. They also provide a folder with their information, a thorough list of the amenities available at the cabin and instructions on how to use them and lists of things to see/do and places to eat in the village. The cancellation policy of being able to cancel your reservation up to 2 weeks was very appreciated. The fenced area for the pup was VERY secure and perfect for our girl Birdie.The fenced area for the pup was VERY secure and perfect for our girl Birdie. The fenced area is very well made and there are no areas anywhere that any size dog could escape from (unless they can jump over 5 feet!) My husband has a leg amputation and the home was accessible to him with a narrow/travel wheelchair (16-18 inches wide) when needed. Anything you could possibly need for your stay is provided by the owners.The mini-split A/Cs are located in every bedroom and in the living room/kitchen and work wonderfully. The deck was the most used area by us. The small stream flowing by the house and the fresh mountain air blowing through the trees was beautiful. The area is VERY quiet and the neighbors we met were very kind. So many of those neighbors were out walking their dogs and the traffic on the roads allowed for ease of walking with or without pets. We will definitely be staying here again, hopefully in the very near future!! You will not regret staying here!

Amazing gated deck and small yard. Very Pet Friendly and great hosts who were extremely assessable if needed. A lovely place in the pines of the Upper Canyon.

We enjoy exploring new places and being around nature of all kinds. We are not both retired yet, so we truly enjoy our time exploring together!

Our large upper deck is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the wildlife, and listen to the birds. The two king beds plus two single beds make this perfect for two couples or families. The fenced yard creates a safe haven for pups as you hang outside on the deck; the whole family can be together.
