Welcome to the Northstar Chalet! This updated 3-bedroom + loft, 3.5-bathroom home offers a quiet retreat, yet close to the Village for all the excitement. Access to seasonal resort amenities (swimming, tennis, fitness center, golf, hiking, biking)* by the free shuttle from the home to the Village at Northstar! This spacious chalet has everything you will need for a memorable Lake Tahoe experience including many family-friendly amenities and a brand new hot tub.
*Daily access fee applicable.
We respect our guests' privacy and aim to provide a seamless, independent stay. We will not be present on the property during your visit but are readily available via the messaging app should you need any assistance or local recommendations. We will provide you with a printed house manual and digital guidebook to help answer any questions that may come up.
Tucked away in a residential neighborhood our mountain modern home is on a quiet street. Please note we share an easement that leads to our driveway with our neighbors. Be careful not to block their access when parking.
Guests will have full and private access to the entire home (with the exception of the garage and a few locked closets in the home). There is a shared driveway with the neighbors.

Our home offers breathtaking views of Martis Valley and the Carson Range, with stunning sunsets filtering through the western windows—perfect for unwinding after a day filled with adventure.
Step inside this modern mountain home and cozy up by the grand fireplace in the inviting open living area, which seamlessly connects to the kitchen and dining space. With two luxurious ensuite bedrooms and a spacious loft, there's ample room for everyone, including a dedicated kids' area just off the loft for endless fun!
The expansive back patio and backyard create an idyllic setting for outdoor gatherings and relaxation. We recently added a new hot tub - be one of the first to enjoy it!
When you stay at Northstar Chalet, you’ll enjoy exclusive access to the Northstar Recreation Center and a complimentary shuttle service that picks you up right at the door, whisking you (and your gear!) to the vibrant Village at Northstar. Say goodbye to parking hassles and hello to your dream getaway!

NORTHSTAR SHUTTLE
Northstar-California operates a complimentary shuttle service for the members of NPOA. The shuttle is operated on a seasonal basis during the summer and winter seasons with varying hours of operation. Download the NORTHSTAR VILLAGE TRANSIT app to your phone to use the shuttle.
Please note the delivery location for the shuttle may vary based on parking capacity and traffic flows at the base of the mountain. Most days, shuttle service is available directly to and from the NPOA recreation center, but drop offs and pick ups may be limited to the transportation circle at Northstar Village during high traffic periods.
To ensure a transparent and wonderful stay, please review these important details:
- Hot Tub Cleanings: We schedule hot tub cleanings ahead of all guest arrivals. In the event the hot tub is serviced on they day of your arrival, the spa may still be heating up do to a recent cleaning. If you notice the spa is not hot when you get to the house, please notify us so we can check with the company to confirm this is expected.
- No Air Conditioning: Like most homes in Tahoe, our cabin does not have AC.
- Shared Driveway: We share a driveway with our neighbors and its very important you do not block their driveway during your stay.
- Mountain Life: Dust and pollen can accumulate quickly on outdoor furniture. The BBQ and other outdoor furniture may be stored and unavailable during winter (typically October- May).
- Weather & Travel: A 4WD/AWD vehicle, chains, or snow tires may be required in winter.
- Uncontrollable Events: We are not responsible for uncontrollable circumstances such as poor air quality during wildfire season or snow during winter. We strongly recommend purchasing external trip insurance, as our cancellation policy will be upheld.
- Safety: The home is equipped with smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and a first aid kit for your safety.
- Please refer to the Rental Agreement for a full list of the local STR Rules.
- Emergency Power Outage Kit: Located in the front hallway closet to the right of the front door as you stand in the doorway, this kit includes flashlights, lanterns, an external battery, glow sticks, battery-operated tea lights, batteries, and hand warmers for your safety during power outages.
