Cathy was absolutely the most responsive and helpful host we have ever dealt with. She answered all our questions promptly and went out of her way to make sure we were happy, leaving us lots of treats and a nice welcome card.
The property is very unique - a farmhouse meets artist retreat vibe.
We were visiting our son who just moved to Atlanta, and the house is very easy to to get to from the highway yet in a secluded neighborhood on a pond. The house has 2 nice bedrooms, and 2 other rooms with futons, so there was plenty of sleeping space for the 4 of us.
Everything should have been perfect, but I feel I have to let prospective travelers know that the property smells strongly of mold. When we arrived and opened the door, the smell of mold immediately hit us. My daughter and I both have mold allergies, but even my husband thought the smell was strong. We did not have the budget to find another place to stay, so we cranked the AC as low as it would go, and spent as much time as possible outside on the pleasant sunporch, or just away from the house. My son wouldn't even stay with us because of the smell, which defeated the point of finding a large enough VRBO property for him to join us.
Atlanta is a humid city and the house would benefit from a dehumidifier if there isn't one. Perhaps even the carpet on the lower level should be replaced. The odor was much worse there.
If you aren't bothered by an "old farmhouse" smell, everything else about this property and host are wonderful.
