Charming 1-bedroom apartment in the historic Mitchell House built in 1969.
Nestled in the heart of historic Elkton, Maryland, The Mitchell House, built in 1769, stands as a testament to timeless elegance and enduring charm. Lovingly restored with casual elegance, this architectural gem now opens its doors as an enchanting destination. Built by a prominent physician, the Mitchell House was used as a hospital during the Revolutionary War and was a frequent stop of General Lafayette when traveling the east coast with General George Washington. With plenty of room to spread out, the first-floor apartment encompasses a bedroom with queen sized Murphy bed, two sitting rooms, full bath and kitchen. Many of the accoutrements are original to the building. Conveniently located to small Eastern Shore tourist destinations, as well as within 15 minutes of the University of Delaware.
The property was perfect, beautifully decorated, cozy, comfortable and spotless. The owner was so nice helpful. Parking was conveniently located right the behind building. Easy walk to several restaurants, shops. Five minute walk to The Elkton Music Hall, after the show easy, safe, walk back to the property. Will definitely visit again.
