We were in San Angelo for work for a week and there are 6 of us and we all had plenty of space and house was nice also, washer pit in the back yard was nice touch also.

Great place to stay with family!

We were in town for the stock show, and we enjoyed staying at this house. The decorations were great, and we loved having a bed and space for everyone in our large family.

We went for my daughter's graduation weekend. We had family over for dinner there was plenty of sitting space and the backyard was huge for my niece & nephew to run around. They also took advantage of the washers set in the backyard. Overall it was clean & just what we needed.

We made the best of our stay, but unfortunately there were several issues that keep me from recommending this home at this time.The biggest problem was the A/C. The first night the house was very warm, the central unit appeared to freeze up, and had to be turned off. With a large family group and it being late, relocating wasn’t practical, so we used fans, opened bedroom doors, and made it work. The A/C began cooling the next day, but we left it at 75 because we were afraid it would freeze again. The bedrooms remained quite warm. The unit also made an extremely loud banging noise when cycling on and off, waking us several times during the 2nd night.There was also a noticeable stale cigarette/smoky smell throughout the house. We had trouble getting hot water to the showers as well; after running it for 30–45 minutes, we finally had enough hot water for a shower.The host was responsive and apologetic, which we appreciated. Since we were only there two nights for a special family weekend, we chose to work around the problems rather than let them ruin our time together. However, the A/C, hot water, and odor need attention before I could recommend this property, especially for a large group during the Texas summer.In the end the host didn’t offer to give us a refund or return our texts after we asked for partial compensation.

We’re sorry this stay did not meet the guest’s expectations, but we would like to clarify the record. The home has central air plus two mini-splits. When the central system froze during 100 degree weather, we responded promptly, switched it to fan mode to thaw, and explained how to use the additional cooling systems. The property was occupied throughout July and by two work crews immediately before this stay, without similar complaints. After checkout, our cleaner and the owner inspected the property. We could not reproduce the reported banging, and both showers produced hot water normally. We responded throughout the stay and addressed every concern reported to us. The request for partial compensation came after checkout, including communication outside Vrbo. We take maintenance concerns seriously, but our inspection did not reproduce the A/C or hot-water problems described.

Staff housing for event.

Super last minute booking for staff members. Owner was easy to deal with. House did have a strong smoke smell for our non smoking crew.

Not what we expected

Property was not clean and smelled like cigarette smoke when we arrived. Flies and bugs also a problem. Host was gracious enough to refund our money and we went to a hotel.

The odor you noticed was from cookies that had been burned by the previous guests, and we thoroughly cleaned the property before your arrival. Additionally, the presence of bugs can be common in West Texas, especially after rains, but we strive to manage it as best as possible. We appreciate your understanding and are continually working to improve our guests' experience
