The house was very beautiful and the location was excellent. Having access to the 2-car garage to park our car was a definite plus. Situated on a hill at the south end of town and the back yard surrounded by mature trees -- even though it was very hot during our visit, the balcony/patio off the kitchen where we spent a lot of time was very comfortable. Note that there is no air conditioning in the house, so the upstairs was pretty warm when we arrived. High temperatures are not normally an issue in Steamboat Springs, but the weather was unseasonably hot during our stay. However, there is a whole-house attic fan that very quickly cooled down the house once the temp started to dip in the evening -- we opened a couple of windows, then closed them again before we left in the late morning each day. It stayed nicely cool in the upstairs of the house during the rest of our time there and sleeping was quiet and the perfect cool temperature.
We had a couple of small issues at the beginning of our visit that were efficiently handled by the property manager, Anna and the owner, Kelly. We appreciated their prompt and courteous assistance.
The only negatives that we could mention are that while everything functioned perfectly and was very clean, the finishes are dated and the carpet in the living/dining room looked like it had been recently cleaned, but was 'wavy' in spots and needed to be re-stretched (a little bit of a trip hazard). However, those minor items did not detract from our stay and we would love to stay there again.
