Magic in Puako!

We returned to this wonderful home in Puako and came away every bit as thrilled as we were the first time. The home is perfect-built for its location, spacious bedrooms and common areas, all directed towards the ocean, complete amenities in all areas, wonderful access to the ocean, and the calming effect of its location in this one-of-a-kind neighborhood. We enjoyed everything about our week and look forward to returning. The sooner the better!

Great for families

This house is in a great location with easy access to many amenities. Ocean front with great snorkelling right out the back door. All of the 4 bedrooms have a private bath which makes it nice for everyone to have their own space. Debbie the host was always available for whatever was required and very enjoyable to deal with. A beautiful place to stay.

Wonderful

What a wonderful paradise- a gem. My husband & I & our son stayed here for five glorious days. Great location, beautiful luxury home with every possible amenity available. Every detail on every room lovely. Hope to return to this idyllic spot for it is the place for R&R and perfect for quality family time!

Beautiful home and location. Fully stocked with any and all possible needs and wants all the way around but most importantly the manager Nikki is amazing she has been the best we have ever had. This is the home you have to choose air conditioned bedrooms and trust me the trade winds have a mind of their own it's hot this home has a great air conditioned media room and all bedrooms so you sleep well. Great pool and spa, awesome game room area upstairs huge amount of space to have some alone time!! I have rented in the area before this is the best by far!!!!!

Puako Bay Paradise

Our family just can't say enough good things about this property to do it justice! The house was gorgeous, spacious, and fully equipped with all the bells and whistles and with lovely interior design. The location was stunning with amazing ocean views and access to the water directly from the house where we enjoyed snorkeling and visiting with the sea turtles, crabs, and other little ocean creatures! There's absolutely no need to go anywhere if you are in HI to rest, relax and enjoy a slice of paradise! Debbie was so responsive to our questions. We also enjoyed the close proximity to resorts to eat out and shop as well as to buy local fresh fish to bring home to grill.

The property was very well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful sunsets from the backyard. The two sets of washers and dryers made laundry time go quickly. We enjoyed kayaking and snorkeling out from the house. Great access from Puako to Waikaloa Village, Hapuna and Havi/North Kohala. Definitely a property we will enjoy again one day.

Another wonderful visit to Pili Pono

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 4th time staying at this magical home. The home is beautiful and the location can't be beat. The property manager, Nicki, is so helpful and responsive. The only issue we had on this visit was that the air conditioning was broken in 2 of the 4 bedrooms when we arrived which made sleeping a little uncomfortable for our guests. The only thing that could make this rental better would be having kayaks and SUPS included on property. I highly recommend this property!

Majical Family Vacation in Pili Pono Paradise

WOW Factor by all 10 of us! Location offered perfect views from every room! Immediate beach access for kayaking, paddle boarding and scuba diving! 5 min walk to little market and charming Catholic Church. 2 Kitchens had all the toys! Lovely bedrooms with optional outside showers which we used daily. Nikki, Mgr, was so hospitable with excellent recommendations we followed. We took advantage of every single minute including lounging in the Spool and just vegging with eachother. We loved it and if it wasn't for scheduling issues with 3 Grand kids in college, I'd schedule it now! Aloha and Mahalo! Isabelle Villasenor

This property is a dream! The photos don’t even do it justice as all is spectacular. All bedrooms have their own bathrooms, outdoor showers, and lanais. The kitchen has everything you would need, wonderful and multiple coffee/espresso makers, appliances, all high end, beautiful furnishings and art. The 7 of us felt complete privacy but enjoyed all about the space, from the beach access, to the turtles, multiple family rooms, perfect spa area, pool table, and the beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There is no reason to leave this property but the island is gorgeous as well. The property manager was responsive and wonderfully helpful. It was a complete 5 star in every way!

With over 5,000 sq. ft, our three generations had plenty of space to be together as well as have alone time. The home is beautifully furnished and the outdoor area is fantastic! We barbecued and ate every dinner there. (Why go to a restaurant when we were at a perfect setting!!) Niki, the manager, was so very helpful with all of our questions and concerns. We cannot recommend more highly this beautiful home and setting!!!

A not so enchanting stay!

Stunning Oceanfront Estate in gorgeous Puako

I can only say, that this is simply the most gracious and inviting home I have seen in Puako, it is a 10! Luxury in every detail, from the exquisite gourmet kitchen to the individual suites...not forgetting the two great rooms and media room! We had a wonderful catered party and being able to sit next to the water, feel the ocean breeze, music, gaze at the stars, it was a night to remember forever! I would come back to get married here, there could not be a better place to gather and enjoy the moment! This is a home and it accommodates a multi generational family, there is privacy for all! Gather around the pool table, serve fresh cold drinks and gaze at miles of ocean, soak in the Jacuzzi, watch movies all night in the super lux media room, simply grand! I want to live in this house forever, no one wanted to leave, we will be back!

Amazing Puako Property!

We had our 5 teenagers and our closest friends (and their two teenagers) together for a week long reunion/vacation. The home was perfectly appointed, with every amenity you could think of. Outdoor showers, gorgeous outdoor lounge areas, plenty of toys, and sea turtles within 10 feet of the shoreline. We loved the hot tub, which was perfect for late afternoon conversations, or evening star gazing. The kitchen had everything we needed, and we grilled and cooked in on several evenings. The teens loved playing pool and card games late into the evening, followed my movies in the theater. We explored the island, found isolated waterfalls, hiked to the black sand beach, shopped in Waimea, had dinner at Roy's, and so much more. It was absolutely perfect. (and our property manager was superb--checked in on us and was so knowledgable and well versed...we totally appreciated the help and the care).

Family Getaway in Paradise

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to spend our vacation. Everything far exceeded our expectations it's hard to sum it up. The house is huge, great for families or groups. There's 4 large bedrooms each with a full ball. It's spacious, comfortable and feels as if you are at a 5 star resort. Beautiful furniture, amazing open air showers, ac in every room. Awesome amenities like a huge movie room, surround sound indoors and out, big kitchen, tvs. We didn't leave for 3 days it had everything to offer. Outdoors there's an infinity lounge pool and hot tub. With two sofa cabanas. Perfectly manicured lawn with views of the ocean and sunset every night. It's right on the water and easy to walk out to the ocean to snorkel or kayak. This place has every detail you could want without being too fancy. We had little kids and they would play for hours and we could lounge at the same time. There's no better place you could stay.

Breathtaking Views - Extremely Organized Management

This home is absolutely the best. It is very large and perfect for our party of ten. We stayed here for the Thanksgiving Holiday. The home is ideally located in the most desirable part of the island - seven minutes from Hapuna Beach - the best beach in the country. It is also just minutes from the best resorts, restaurants and spas on the island. As I said, there were ten of us. We never felt crowded or like we were on top of each other. The home is laid out so that each of us had our own bathroom and our own space. The view is just incredible and the outdoor space is amazing. We have rented a lot of homes through VRBO and this is truly the best. The only drawback is that the house is not on a sandy beach. You have to walk a little ways or get in the car for that. However, exploring the tide pools was amazing and we saw turtles there every day. We even saw a whale on the last day!

Amazing Place to Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We met for our small family reunion and the house met our every need. It was like staying at our own mini resort. Rooms were large and nicely appointed, location could not be beat with whales visible from the lounge chairs or jacuzzi, the amenities were top notch. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans, the built in coffee maker was a hit with the adults! The TV room was a teenage boys dream with surf videos playing on the big screen daily and the view from the second story allowed us to watch sunsets while we played a round of pool. Puako is a special place on the Big Island, close to most everything on the Kona side but quiet enough to get away from the large resorts. So thankful to have had the opportunity to stay in this family friendly house that helped make great memories for my entire family. Mahalo!!

I am an ichthyologist which is a marine biologist who specializes
in the study of fish. I attended the University of Washington, College of Fisheries and got Bachelor of Science Degree in Fishery Biology.

Thereafter I attended the University of Hawaii, Department of Zoology Graduate school and became an osteo-ichthyologist becoming an expert in fish skeletons.

With over 300 species of Hawaiian Reef Fishes available for study, The diversity of bony structure amongst the Hawaiian Reef Fishes
amazing bone structures will never cease to amaze me.

I enjoy being a host simply to share the incredible reef filled with beautiful fish, invertebrates, coral, and turtles. this is an experience not to be missed.
