Welcome to Fantasea where beautiful ocean views provide the perfect place to enjoy breathtaking sunsets or be captivated by dramatic waves crashing on rocks right from our living room windows. Located on the historic 804 trail, Fantasea is the perfect spot to relax and restore your spirit as you witness expansive oceanviews which include all kinds of marine life including migrating whales, sea lions and all kinds of aquatic birds. On low tide, beach access is just steps from our backyard!

The expansive ocean front living/dining area features an impressive brick fireplace, vaulted ceilings, open kitchen with breakfast bar and full-width window seats perfect for curling up with a good book or glass of wine.

Please note: While you will be mesmerized by the powerful waves crashing right in front of the house, there is no direct beach access.  The Historic 804 Trail (identified by the curbing along Oceanview Dr near our driveway) is 1.7 miles long and runs north and south.  Fantasea is on the south end of the trail.  There are numerous beach areas to explore along the trail.  To get to sandy beach follow the trail north where it ends at 7 miles of sandy beach.  There is also a State Park less than a block to the south along the trail.

This house is in a wonderful location. The sound of the waves helped soothe us to sleep. There is a lot of privacy here, as it's set back from the road.

The location is outstanding! The ocean view was exciting and mesmerizing. Updated interior functions well. Yachats has many features including a farmers market with local artisans and produce. There is Easy access to the historic 804 trail, restaurants and retail. Very relaxed atmosphere. The updated single bathroom is rather narrow, lovely but would benefit from some additional elbow room.

The Waves!

Is there an odd little bathroom? Yes. Are the bedrooms a bit dated? Yes. Will you care? No. You will be in the updated, comfortable front room watching the best wave show in town from the wall to wall windows. After dark, a shore light lets you continue to enjoy them. Bring your slippers and a bottle of wine, but if you somehow tire of watching the waves, it’s an easy walk to shops and restaurants.

Suzanne, Loved your review! I wasn't sure what you meant by the bedrooms being "dated" as we just purchased new alternative down comforters and duvet covers... But you are quite right about everything else! Fantsea is a spectacular place to enjoy close wave action right from the living room windows. outstanding waterfront property. we were right on top of the waves which broke against the black balsalt rock outcroppings. No beach but that was fine. Just up the street was 6 miles of open beach. on day 3 we were fortunate to experience we will forget. We had a front row seat to 35mph winds and swells that were 10 to 12 feet. Wild weather and ocean. as my wife said "we have our own Spouting Horn". we stayed warm and dry in the house. everything was fine except for figuring out the tv. we did not have any instructions except "don't change any of the settings".......well the setting was "no signal". 3 different controllers and no instructions on which to use to make the TV pick up a channel. we had brought our laptop so we used that to connect to our shows and channels. Overall it was great and we will definitely return again.
